Disappointed in Simms!
The fit and dexterity of the gloves are great and they are very comfortable. But after one day of bass fishing the right thumb tore open. The index finger started to do the same thing. Did not expect this from Simms. I have several items from Simms and never had this problem. For the price, I am very disappointed. Maybe Simms will replace them. I would not recommend the glove unless you were going to use them to do nothing.

Good but a little small from the beginning and shrinks when dried.
Yeah this was a hard one. When I first tried them on I was extremely happy. My favorite gloves has been Simms Wool Half Finger Glove and the ProDry Glove plus merino Liner .
This glove seemed like a better glove than the half finger when it's colder. The prodry is the best but its hard to handle a fly line because you do not feel it through the glove. For spinn fishing they are excellent. Back to this glove.. well they where great during fishing. When coming home they where a little damp so I put them on hot-water radiator as I do with all my damp clothes. hot-water radiator s are really common in Sweden and they are not that hot. Not as an electrical or a tumble drier for example. Anyway, they shrank. Quite a bit. So i had to wet them and pull them to their original size, I don't know how this will unfold long term.. ANd the size. It was a little small from the beginning. My prodry is in large. i bought these in XL. But brand new they where more the size large in the prodry. I do love more products in wool. Keep trying.

Gloves tear easy
Great gloves for fishing in temp. ranges from 45-30 degrees F. Not so good for lipping large mouth bass. After a day out on Lake Chickamauga, the thumb on my right hand was completely ripped open due to lipping the fish after one day of use. Good gloves for fishing but you better remove them prior to landing fish. Would be better if the thumbs and index fingers were completely encapsulated with the leather .
