I explained my problem and he showed me the Equalizer 9mm EZ rank. When we picked the gun up we went directly to BLM land and shot it. OMG what a difference it made. Within 2 hours of my purchase my background check came back. I'm 72 years old this was the smoothest transaction I have made in a long time. You guys are the best. 2 weeks earlier my husband had purchased a riffle from Sportsman's Warehouse. What a mess that was. First the saleman was rude the whole time. We were there for a few hours. Took his info for the background check. 7 days later it come back. It has never taken him that long for a background check. They messed up somehow. I refuse to go back to their store again. That was my first and last visit there. Scheels is our new favorite store. Racking is much easier than my original Shield 9mm and is made easier with the new larger groove pattern and cocking ears, a definite improvement over their earlier \"fishscale\" grooves. It manages recoil well and I've come back from the range after 150 rounds and my hands feel fine. Smith still uses tout springs in their mags and this one is no exception. I was happy they included a Maglula Uplula loader as there is no way I could have loaded them to full capacity without it. Even so, getting the last round or two in all 3 of the mags requires some extra pressure on the loader. Initially I loaded up the mags up and left them alone for a couple of days and then unloaded and let them sit for a while and then repeated the cycle a few times and the mag springs loosened up some but still require some effort to top them off. It works typically S&W in that it always works fine with any number of different brands, weights, and bullet configurations without a single hiccup. I own several Smiths and they all have extreme reliability in common. \n\nThe grip safety is not noticeable when you grip the gun naturally so it's a non-issue for me. This has been very accurate, and I got the one with the Crimson Trace laser mounted from the factory and it's dead on at 25 feet out of the box and is brighter than I expected. Still using the iron sights but at least have the option of dropping an optic on it if I want. After 1000 rounds, I’m happy with it. Accurate with iron sights. Mounted a green dot sight (RMSc footprint) and a light. It is easy to operate and easy to takedown. Naturally, I want more guns now. Something bigger like a 2.0 will be next.
