My initial impression of the gun was good. Feels good in the hand, adjustable rear sight is a plus...or so I thought. Went to the range put about 150 rounds through it and some how the rear sight windage set screw ba ked out causing the rear sight aperture to come off along with the ball and spring. WTF? Oddly enough a quick Google search and one will find that this is a common problem with the 22 Compact. Called S&w customer service and got a replacement part coming. For anyone looking at purchasing this gun be aware of this issue and add a little thread locker to the adjustment screw. The management wanted me to lie on the background check and I wouldn’t do it. The form asked for my legal name. It doesn’t match my drivers license exactly. They wanted me to put it on the form as it is stated on my drivers license which isn’t how the question ask you to put it. To me it would be hard to believe that it isn’t me. I would have to know the social security number of someone with my name and born on the same day for this not to be me. It mostly came down to the jr on my name. Of course I bought other firearms from that same store using my name with junior on it.
