The hammer from my kit had a raised line on left side of the hammer face where the underside of the bolt carrier would slide against it to return the hammer into the firing position. It was causing drag and grittiness when pulling the charging handle, and also caused some wear to the coating of the bottom of the bolt carrier where the raised line on the hammer was. I had to stone the face of the hammer flat and gave it a polish to fix what I assume was a machining line. This hammer should have never passed any quality inspections. The line was quite visible and could also be felt easily. The quality of the hammer does not match the high price of this lpk, there are far better kits in this price range, and far better kits equal to this quality for $35-$50.
