Brand new out of the box it struggled to cut a ash branch that had fallen. Brand new blade with a fully charged battery. I was really excited about this tool but there's no power. It cut through 2\"+ branch but you can't \"push\" through the cut what's so ever. You have to let the blade do the cutting or the blade will completely stop as your cutting. I wasn't pushing hard at all and the blade stops in the cut. I'm a furniture maker for over 35+ years and own Lots of gas Stihl products. I know how to cut a piece of wood and this saw isn't ready to be considered an option for anyone that needs to make more than 4 or 5 cuts or you'll be there all day. I really wanted to like this saw but as I said it's under powered for how it's presented from the salesman and the pictures on the box. Make sure to buy from a dealer you can return to like an Ace Hardware otherwise you'll most likely feel the same as I do. I had to agree to terms and conditions in order to leave this review and I hope Stihl will post this honest review.
