It came with a trimmer attachment and I purchased the edging attachment to go with it. Switching between the two takes all of five seconds. This also has the power to do both without breaking a sweat. The I also bought an extra battery so I would never run out, but honestly, I have yet to do so on a 1/4 acre lot doing the edging and trimming. It is my second battery powered string trimmer. It has adequate power and battery life but the head is a really bad design. I was slightly worried about power given it’s the entry level head. It’s phenomenal and uncompromised bot in power and battery life. I’ve used all my old attachments without issue. It seems heavy at first with the battery in it. Once I put the trimmer attachment on, it was well balanced, as it works with all of my Gas Kombi attachments. I put it to the test with 4 to 5 foot high grass and weeds It had no problem cutting down the weeds in Eco mode It is so much more versatile than my gas operated Kombi. Variable speed from full throttle to a whisper for fine trimming. You can position the tool in any position, vertical, horizontal, or up side down so f you wanted to. The only downside I feel is the length of time to charge the battery. For my normal trimming the battery should have enough charge. Very powerful and easy to control the speed. The motor and shaft are extremely quiet, so nice. No 2 cycle gas and maintenance. I love it so far. Plenty of power to run all the attachments I have tried. I’m on a little over 2 acres with a couple hours of trimming.
