These are the easiest heads to take apart to clean or wind up new line! I thought it was just me until I came here tonight and read the reviews. I came to this site because I thought I needed to purchase a new part, but I found out reading all the reviews that it is simply poorly designed. The \"tap\" mechanism is nonfunctional. \nI do not suggest that anyone buy this particular Stihl product because you will have to stop using the tool, have your tools handy, and manually re-string it because it JAMS UP every time. Stihl needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. It's aggravating. \n My other products from Stihl are wonderful. This one, not so much.
