I have not yet used these arrows for hunting. I purchased them for the upcoming deer season. When I purchased these arrows Ten Point recommended to practice with them to ensure your crossbow was still sighted in properly. So I shot them on a sunny day and you could easily see the lighted nock. Turning the light off is a delicate procedure with the small o-ring. Just a word of caution , to save time I shot the same arrow 3 times while it was lit since I was only checking my sights. Bottom line after those 3 shots I could not pull the light apart to turn it off. Ten Point did not mention this, nor was there any warning on the box. So if your sighting in with these arrows be sure to turn them off after each use. Under low light conditions when hunting I think they will be great.
Bought these for der hunting this year, and when shooting at the target they are great. Here is the challenge, I had a doe come in and I placed a good shot on her, the omni light came on when it left however it was a pass through and when it passed through the light went off, needless to say Inlost the arrow. Just last week samething, shot a doe and the light went off on the pas through, another lost arrow. This is great product but Ten Point needs to figure out a better way for the Omni lights to work. Yes these were factory installed.
With the TenPoint XX75 lighted bolts I can easily see my bolts in flight, where they hit, and sometimes they even help locate my downed game. They give me the confidence and assurance that I have made a good hit!
I purchased these a few years back and have continued to purchase the same ones if I end up losing one or two. they fly straight. Stay in one piece after numerous target shooting and brining down big Game is a breeze with these in you Crossbow
