Descent road performance with a bit of a hrad ride
I've now had this 2020 model FX-2 for one year exactly and put about 900-1000 Km's on it - about half on road and half on small 1/2" gravel trails. My opinion is that overall it is a good bike with descent controlability, good shifting and reliable components. Aside from the standard hard seat (which may require an upgrade for some) my main issue with the bike is the bone crushing vibrations that transfer throught the frame into your hands and arms particularly on rougher/bumpier trails. Also the tires are more road compatible than off road but acceptable on loose dirt/gravel if you don't make sudden moves.

Overall, it's a good bike and i would recommend it especially for those mainly driving on the road with some off road trail riding on smoother surfaces but I'm seriously considering a Dual Sport with adjustable forks to absorb some of the impacts on the gravel trails. I'd rate this bike a 7.5 out of 10 and a safe bet but recommend the Dual Sport for those with a bit rougher/bumpier trails.

Very Happy !
Just picked it up from the shop. Went on an hour ride on a paved bike trail. Everything about this bike is perfect for my needs. Even the seat- I am in no pain- and I have not ridin in over a year.I always had saddle aches after a ride -even with custom gel seats. The bike was perfectly set up by my local dealer. Shifts and rides smoothly. Inspires me to get out there. I am very happy with this purchase. Worth every penny. I am going to pcik one up for my wife so that we can ride together.

Great Bike
This bike is better than I hoped it would be . Light weight and handles great . Braking is great . Very good balance and very stable . I would buy this bike again. GNO Cyclery in New Orleans is the place to go buy a great bike .

I love this bike!
I've been looking for a good bike for a couple of year but the pandemic put paid to stocking levels, I really needed to get on a bike to see how it felt. The Trek FX2 is the third bike I tried and bought (the other two were returned), as soon as I cycled home I knew it was the right one for me. The gear changing is smooth, the bike's frame is light and it just felt great. As a 60 year old woman, I'm looking forward to upping the mileage.

Great bike! It's become exercise bike.
My Trek FX 2 has become my in between bike from my road bike enjoy riding without having to go through the hassle of finding pre determine safe areas to ride in. My road bike is for quick and nimble long rides. Having to load up my full suspension bike to take it trail riding takes time to get there and is usually an hour or two of driving to reach my desired location. So Trek has become my all around bike I don't have worry about getting flats as I do with my road bike. Riding in the local bike paths is easier with my FX2 than my road bike. I have greater visibility being upright! I like it and enjoy it!
