Bought this for a marlin 39A golden. Mounted but haven’t bore sighted it yet. Clear glass. Seems like a good 22 scope. Good price.

Pretty good with some adjustment
I don't shoot much, but my daughter got me to go to the range with her the other day. I'm nearly 70 and like most my close vision has gotten worse as time goes on. I found that I couldn't see the sites well enough on my .22 to shoot accurately. It seemed like a scope would be a good solution. I found this scope on sale on Scheels' Web site for considerably less than comparable scopes from Simmons, etc.

When I received it I tried looking through it and the image was fuzzy. I would say the clarity was quite unacceptable. My daughter tried it and thought it was fine. So I made an eye appointment. Then I decided to play around. The only adjustment is supposedly for the focus of the reticle, but I could see the reticle just fine. I tried turning the eyepiece several turns and it didn't help, but he reticle remained in focus.

After checking around a bit on the web I found instructions that said to screw the eyepiece all the way out and then bring it in until you could see the reticle clearly. Well, I turned and turned the eyepiece. It took probably took 50 - 60 turns before the eyepiece came off. Probably lost some of the nitrogen. I put it back on and screwed it in a dozen or so turns until the reticle was just in focus. Voila, now I have a focused reticle and a reasonably sharp image. Turns out the eyepiece extends out to about 3/4" on very fine threads. They say in the manual that it is preset at the factory for 20/20 vision. I guess mine is a little worse than that, though I don't wear glasses.

Otherwise, the scope looks like pretty good quality. It doesn't have the company logo on it but says, "made in China" of course. I don't care for the coin slot windage and elevation adjustments since I almost never carry coins. Still, you only have to zero it it once, hopefully, and it is a rock bottom price scope. Mine came with 3/8" rings which are substantial, but the dovetail "grabbers" could be a little sharper. I plan to cover it with MO Obsession camo skin to match my stock. As a good, basic non-zooming scope, it would be hard to beat for the price I paid.
