I like it I wanted a backpack that is weather resistant for when I'm out on the bike and so far its held up well. Big enough to back clothes in if I take a small trip and so far has held together at highway speeds.
My sons play basketball and football and needed a school bag that could handle taking cleats and basketball shoes to school, while still being able to hold lunch and homework. This backpack has done a great job, and my oldest son has size 12. For small kids this might be more than they need, but I think any active 12+ would love the efficient use of space.
My son likes the easy access through the top, but he has a lot of heavy textbooks and sports gear and this is just slightly too small. He also wishes there was one more pocket on the side that closes. He is going to keep it and make it work.
Overall it is a Great backpack - could use better straps
I bought 2 bags for my high school sons last school year and on both bags the straps ripped. The straps did not separate from the bag and the material did not rip, but rubber parts ripped. The boys had to duct taped the straps to continue to use the bags for the remainder of the school year. The bag itself still looks good and is sturdy, but it would be a great bag without the faulty rubber strap material.
