These boots surpass everything I have worn before them!\n Flip flops are a joke! I laugh to myself when I see a service person wearing them. So cliche'. I've been thru Sneakers, Ecco Top grain leather, Red Head, Timberlands, Duck Boots, sperry's , Teva, vibram, Olukai the list goes on and on….i severely twisted my ankle 15 years ago on the route wearing the top of the line Ecco Cowhide Mid boot and never wore them again. I gave them to a homeless guy with a few fresh pairs of socks…\n That's when I went to north face. \n I started with the Dahlghiri Boot. They were awesome! Then the Dahlghiri II. Awesome . \n Then I found the Futurelight. I still have my first pair and still use them in my yard. \n These Boots are light. Supportive. Durable. Waterproof. Comfortable. Sure Footed on wet decks. Great for muddy landscape. \n What can I say. I've worn many different boots over the years, but the North Face Vectiv Fastpack are the most comfortable I've ever worn.\n\nMy achilles ruptured a few years ago, and these boots really helped me get back on the trail. They're unbelievably light and much more comfortable than full leather boots while providing comparable ankle support. My heel slides right into a snug position, and there's a satisfying air lock sound and zero slippage. The uppers provide plenty of support for the most punishing terrain.\n\nMy feet need good arch support, and these have it. No need for expensive third-party insoles. \n\nThese boots are completely waterproof and are durable for normal trail use. However, I've gone well beyond intended use and thrashed a pair or two in blackberry briars, lava tubes, and Puget Sound mud flats.
