The fit is nice through the shoulders and torso; I was surprised the wide band at the bottom hung straight down, rather than having a slight gather, but the shorter vest length made it work. Color is important to my satisfaction with clothing options, and this vest goes with both work and casual options. I wore it with a pair of mustard barrel pants that picked up one zig-zag stripe, and a chambray shirt that picked up the blue stripe . . . love the color matching-potential. The overall color trends toward a brick red more than maroon, which I appreciate. Also, I like gender-neutral clothing options, and v-neck sweater vests are appealing for that reason; the styling of this one is not too femme and not too masculine.
