Put half a dozen boxes of target loads through it and it’s ran perfect. No problems at all. The look is modern and appealing, the feel and balance are flawless and the performance is spectacular, all at a price that put it comfortably in my reach. Nothing feels quite like a Weatherby – the weight & swing, the grip, the trigger and overall handling just feel right to me. From a performance standpoint it’s flawless on the range and in the field – I have never had a misfeed, jam or misfire in over 1000 rounds, and accuracy, especially with the Weatherby long range steel choke, is nothing short of spectacular. I get consistently tight patterns with just about any load and clean kills on virtually everything I have shot at. It functioned perfectly in the first rounds of trap and skeet and no break in was needed . For hunting pheasants and chukar partridge it is light and tough, and shoots any load I put in it . I thought it would kick more but I think the fiber stock helps to negate some of the recoil ? even with hunting loads it’s soft shooting . When looking for a new shotgun price was a huge factor; the adjust ability and affordability of the Weatherby is unmatched. I have been using the gun for deer hunting, waterfowl locally in Michigan and in Kansas and the gun shoots at least one round of sporting clays per week for league shooting. It currently has 2600 rounds through it. No problems, no hiccups, it just shoots. Couldn’t be happier. I am so pleased with this purchase that I am going to buy an Orion Sporting for my clays league.
