I wanted to get a 20 gauge for years for Quail and Chucker. So I was looking for one that wouldn't break the bank. And I knew I wanted a s/s with English stock. Read many reviews on s/s. Then I read mixed reviews on the Orion. Most of the negatives where about the chokes and how it took away from the traditional look of the s/s. But I was thinking. Your taking an old school go to hunting gun that was used for many many years and upgrading it with a modern choke system. How is that a bad thing? So I purchased it in a 20 gauge. My first two hunts have been on Pheasants and I used this gun both times. No misses on 4 pheasants. Never had to use the second shot yet. This gun is well balanced, lightning fast to the shoulder and just solid as can be. Love the swamped barrel. Just so much easier to get right on the bird. Overall for the price. I think this gun is excellent. Super happy with my purchased. We'll done Weatherby. I only have one issue with this gun. It's very minor in the over picture. The white Weatherby logo on the side of the gun is quite tacky. The gun is a tank, very solidly built, not light and whispy like many SxS shotguns are described. That said, the quality while not elegant, is evident. The gun is a blast (see what I did there) at sporting clays and is light enough to trounce through the AZ deserts chasing quail - no sense worrying about being delicate there. \n\nThe only knock on the gun would be the triggers. Both have measureable travel before the break and both are a little on the heavy side. Hopefully they'll loosen over time.\n\nOverall, I am very pleased with the Orion.
