I kept running in them until my knees ached and the soles of my feet began to hurt too. I tried to get help from Asics through their warranty program. Asics refused to honor their warranty because \"This warranty does not cover any defects due to improper fit, normal wear and tear, damage due to improper use, misuse, improper transportation or storage, failure to follow product instructions, modification or alteration to the product, unauthorized repair, or negligence.\" I'm not sure which category they think my shoes fall under...but I consider this a failure of the shoes and the Asics product warranty. \n\nI have been a runner for THIRTY YEARS. I have never had a pair of shoes wear out so thoroughly so quickly. I typically run in my shoes for a year. And when I was younger I could put more miles on my shoes. Truly these are the worst running shoes I have ever owned. I have worn the Cumulus all day everyday day for years going thru 2 pairs every year. I am used to wearing these shoes right out of the box and feeling perfectly supported and very comfortable. Not my experience with the 26 and 27. The arch is no longer supported, the tongue is over sized and floppy and the cushion is lacking in support and is firmer than before. To me this is no longer a cumulus it's a completely different shoe and as such should have its own name. Please bring back the support and comfort of the gel cumulus 24.
