Nice wide toebox
I love the toe box on this model, but lacks the cushion the previous models have had , especially in the front of the shoe. My feet end up hurting at the end of the day. In previous models they did not.

Larger toe box, but rest of the shoe is SO TIGHT
I don't know what Asics is doing to their shoes, but every pair I have bought in the last 5 years have killed my feet. I was so excited that these shoes were going to have a larger toe box and they do, but the middle and back of shoe by the heel is so tight. It feels like my foot is being crushed because it is so tight. I tried walking around with the laces not tied and they are still super tight. There is no cushion. It feels like I am walking on cement. I will be returning these shoes.

Don’t fit the same as other Asics I have had
I have been wearing ASICS for walking/running for years. They have been the best fitting shoes for me until this pair. I bought the same size as my previous pairs, at least 4, yet they don’t seem to be built as tall as the others. They feel tight on the tops of me feet and it’s not how tight the laces are tied, even with the laces pulled as loose as they go the shoe still feels tight on the tops of my feet. I love everything else about these shoes but I’m not sure I will be able to wear them for my upcoming half marathon as planned.

Less cushiony
I've been buying, wearing and running the Gel-Nimbus line into the ground for the past bazillion years. They've always fit to a T! Very comfy, great support, I've been extremely happy. I do notice this latest version seems a little "thin". Maybe it'll grow on me after I log in a few more extreme runs. But the first 20 have just been - meh.

Over the (MANY years I’ve worn Nimbus, I’ve found “Same Size Nimbus, Same Color, runs DIFFERENT depending on where made (ie: Nimbus made in China might run “normal ASICS size”, while Nimbus made in Indonesia or Vietnam runs 1/2 size smaller.

Just received my Gel Nimbus 21. Sadly it runs a little short so I had to return. Still a well made shoe with good pronation and stability.

amazing shoes
I bought this 1 week ago and the shoes are pretty ( I’m very picky ) and the fit is perfect ( size 5 ) but most of all the cushioning and comfort are amazing!!! My husband and I both have the Nimbus 17,18,20 . We only buy the nimbus and we are glad we get to try the latest one!

No WOW Factor
GEL-Nimbus have been my go-to shoes for years. The GEL-Nimbus 21 just didn't impress me. They didn't give the same spring or bounce- "walking on clouds" feel that other GEL-Nimbus versions gave. Personally, they feel a bit tight on my toes. I am also unimpressed with the color selection. I'll hold onto mine, for now, hoping I will like them a little more after a few long distance runs.

The cushioning around the ankle is pretty comfortable and I haven't experienced any pain after runs yet.

Perfect fit!
I just had my first run in my nimbus 21s and they fit like a glove. I am very happy with the quality, sizing, and fit.

Thank you ASICS!
I have been wearing Gel-Nimbus for years and was so disappointed when the 20 came out...no cushion anymore and a tight toe box. I have been anxiously awaiting the 21 version and I was so thrilled that they listened, and made some changes. Great bounce, and plenty of toe room. I don’t feel that these run small, but everyone is different. My only complaint now is color choice....a little bland for my taste, but I’m loving them anyway!!
