Comfortable but a little too short in length for my long distance runs. I ran a half marathon in these shorts and got pretty bad chaffing because they are just a tad too short in the inseam. Waistband prevent them from riding up but I need something with at least a 4 inch inseam. Great for shorter runs.
I had gotten one pair on sale earlier in the season, but I had to have another pair in black. What a terrific running short - lightweight, not pinching anywhere, lightweight mesh liner that doesn't slip around or dig, really beautiful fit. It wears and washes without issue, too. If I'd add anything, perhaps a zipper pocket on the back, but I can totally live without it because the rest is so terrific (and because I use a Flip Belt for hydration in the summer, which has a key clip). I'm 130 lbs. and 5'8-ish" and the small is perfect.
I bought a pair on sale and I'm actually pretty thrilled with them. I've been looking for a pair of running shorts that will allow me to carry gum, but not get all 'gummy' from sweat. These do the job. Athleta discontinued the Ready, Set, Run shorts with pockets on both sides. What a bummer... I wish this had a back pocket for gu or a phone, but for now, it'll work.
I purchased the 3" chaser shorts in 2016 and went to buy my second pair in 2018. They're a touch smaller than my first pair and I don't like how they moved the pocket and removed one completely. Having said that, I still love the shorts. They're comfortable, they stay put (no chafing!), and great quality. I would definitely recommend these and will be buying again.
These shorts are VERY comfortable. I've worn them for multi-hour runs in all training conditions, including ridiculous humidity and downpours, with no chafing problems. The little pocket in the right front of the waistband is a good size for holding multiple gels or shot block packets. If you want to carry a phone in the pocket, you may want to size down because there is no drawstring and the weight of a phone might pull down the waistband. The pocket does not have a zipper or velcro at the top, but my car key has stayed put so far. I do wish that there was an additional, small secured key pocket somewhere....maybe add one in the center back of the waistband? Regardless, am loving these shorts and have purchased more!
These are the best shorts for long runs (I'm training for a marathon). They are comfortable and they stay dry! All my other shorts eventually get soaked with sweat and start clinging to my legs -- these do not! It's like magic. I have one pair and I just ordered two more. My only complaint is that the waistband pockets are sort of small -- OK for a car key, but that's about it. I have other shorts with better, bigger, zipped pockets, but I usually wear a phone arm band and a waist water-bottle holder when I run in these, so the pocket is not really an issue for me, I just wanted others to be aware. But if you are looking for true stay-dry shorts -- these are a gem!
These shorts are comfortable, very breathable, and flattering. After I bought one pair to try, I immediately purchased two more. I love the pocket/ pouch in the wide waistband- perfect place for keys, etc. There are no itchy seams or tags, so you can go on a long run with no irritations at all. The fact that they look nice is icing on the cake! These shorts are my new go-to for my daily summer runs- the best shorts I've ever run in.
I have worn Brooks for abt 10 years. Started out in Glycerin and then drifted to Ghost, Ravenna and recently the new Revels then started having knee trouble. Took these out of box and ran 3 miles and had no knee trouble at all! Im a true Glycerin girl!
I bought these for my half marathon training and they are super comfortable. The length is perfect for me and there is no rubbing or sliding around. Very flattering shorts and a good price. #SweepsReview
