I am on my feet 12 to 13 hours a day and the shoes provide wonderful support for my feet, legs, and back. They are roomy enough for the toes to move around but the arch support holds the foot in place perfectly. I highly recommend these shoes!
I rated the shoes as moderately comfortable only because they are VERY COMFORTABLE while running, but not for cross training. My feet hurt if I wear them for cross training, not enough cushion for the foot. Great arch support!
This is a repeat purchase. I really like the design of the Ghost 11. I purchase the shoe in a wide width. The width fits perfectly. I also appreciate the comfortable materials used to make this shoe. It is the only shoe I can wear during the hot summer months. My feet feel supported and my gait is balanced. I also like the color. Great support and comfort. I am also a fan of Brooks' Addiction Walker shoes both in full leather and the athletic sneaker version. I have been a Brooks' customer for a number of years and appreciate the fact that they offer shoes for people who have wide feet.
This is my second pair of Ghost 11s and I love them! Used to be a Nike Pegasus person but I made the switch & I don't want to go back. I run 40-50 miles per week and these are great- they hold up well, feel very lightweight yet still well cushioned, and wash off easily after muddy runs, etc. Plus, they look pretty nice.
I own a training facility and have run Boston marathon the last 4 years in ghost sneakers. I love them and recommend all the time. If you have a fitness professional program or discount I would live to be in. We also hold our own road race every year for local charities and people in need.
These are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. My local running store recommended them as a good neutral shoe and I fell in love. They are stylish enough that I don't mind wearing them for a walk to the gym and comfortable enough to do my long runs in. I got 400 miles out of my last pair, which is much more than other brands I've tried. Major bonus: thing they have a good amount of traction that held up over time and withstands the very icy winter I've had.
I love this style of Brooks shoe. It has just the right amount of support for me. I have wide feet and a bunion on my left foot, and I got my regular size in this shoe. I had the Ghost 9, and I got this because I wore those until they were worn out!
I have trouble with shoes being uncomfortable but these shoes are perfect, perfect, perfect! I wear them walking and hiking. I wish Brooks made a more casual shoe that I could wear in the airport or on the street.
I'd been an avid runner for years before I broke my leg. After a year of rehab I tried several times to run again, but the pain always stopped me. I had just about given up my dream and resigned myself to a life on an eliptical when I got these Brooks shoes. This brand has given me my life back, and I am so grateful. I can run several miles on pavement in these shoes without pain. Brooks is all about quality and function, and that's why I am a customer now for life. They understand our love for the run. It's not about fads and fashion, it's all about life ??
I used the shoe finder and ended up with the rec of the Ghost (have always worn Adrenaline but had a brief hiatus to a different shoe company so thought I'd see if a different shoe was recommended by Brooks). I initially thought the Ghost was too cushy and rubbed oddly on one of my arches. I was assured by the 90 day return policy and ran in them a few more times. They feel great now! Just took a little breaking in and getting used to. Thanks for a great shoe finder system, great product, and great customer service!
I was an avid ASICS wearer since my first half marathon 10+ years ago. They recently changed their shoe and I HATED it. I went searching for a new show and was recommended the Ghosts by a friend, so I tried them on. It was LOVE at first step. I wish I would have been wearing Brooks for the last 10 years!!! I am a Brooks wearer for life now :)
These are my first pair of higher quality running shoes and I am using them to train for my first half-marathon coming up in April. I have been using the shoes for long and short runs outside, as well as on the treadmill. The shoes feel very comfortable. I have been running the most I ever have in the past month and these are by far the best shoes I have ever used.
This is my 6th consecutive Ghost pair and I'll never trade.
I've been buying the Brooks Ghost series from 6th generation to 11th now, and I am an over-pronating runner who uses GoodFeet inserts (I swear by them). I can't and won't use any other make or model with my inserts since motion control and stability shoes over-compensate for my flat arches with inserts. I am very happy with Ghost 11 as I have been for the former generations.
I had ankle surgery in 2009 and since then, I have had to be very picky about the type of shoe I can wear. These are the MOST COMFORTABLE shoes. I am a middle school teacher so I'm on my feet a lot and I will continue buying these shoes until Brooks stops making them (which will be a very sad day)!!
I hike and walk in these shoes daily, and have been thru several models. Super comfortable with plenty of toe space. I have one complaint: all my ghosts wear out very quickly. The shoes wear along the top edge, getting a hole worn thru the fabric along the side of the foot :( For the price, I would expect better. Altho I love the comfort of these shoes, I am looking for a brand that lasts longer than a few months before holes appear.
I work in these shoes everyday and rarely sit down during my 8 hour shift at the hospital. My legs or feet never hurt. I also exercise in them 3 or 4 times a week. They are very well made and I highly recommend them.
Beginner runner here! I picked these up at my local athletic store, and was surprised the 9.5 fit. I'm usually a 9 through and through. These are my first pair of "real" running shoes. Doing a running test in these, I feel none of the common complaints I have with the other pair I've been attempting to run in. They have a hugging sensation with a stable base, so I don't feel like my foot is floating and I land in the same spot as when I took the step. I often have a problem with pronation when standing, and I don't feel that with these. The drop isn't too extreme so I don't feel like I'm spilling forward or being forced on my toes. All in all, a great running shoe with great pick up. They help me land in a good spot on my foot too. I'm excited to run in these!
I am more of a recreational runner. I do coach cross country and track and run to keep in shape for meets and invitationals. The Ghost model has been my go-to for about three years. They always fit well and provide the necessary comfort and support I need.
