If you won't be layering, you may need to size down.
NOTE:If your measurement falls between sizes, buy the larger sizes.
I am hard to fit - 5'3", 165 lb but large in the hips. I got the Short Large Full Swing Bib Overalls and they fit perfectly - not too long, not baggy, and with adjustable suspenders. You put them on by leaning forward and slipping your head through the front of the suspenders and your arms through the sides. It's not necessary to unsnap them because the zippers on both sides allow you to simply step into them. They are MUCH lighter than other insulated overalls and the stretchy fabric is a joy. I think I can wear them down hill skiing as well as for working around my place!
These bibs are super easy to get on and off. Keeps me warm while outside on the cold windy days. The zippers on the side make it super easy to use the restroom. I’m 5,10 and 160 pounds , the medium talls work perfect for me. So glad I found these
I grew up wearing Carhart gear and it’s one of those situations where you don’t realize how badly your other gear was working until you wore something that worked. Keeps me mobile, warm, and dry through the winter. :)
?? So love these! I wear them almost daily from Oct-Mar/Apr!
I am so thankful I bought these fall 2019! I wear them almost daily in the winter. They are light, yet very warm in Alaska winters. I've been outside in negative temps shoveling, splitting wood, and more. I'm 5'5 and weight varies 145-155. Fit great, loose just enough for a bulky sweatshirt/layers. I got Med short, yet they did shrink in length some with washing a few times in past year. Hang to dry and then short time in dryer. I tried the med regular, seemed to long at time, yet I'm ordering those next time, so if they shrink again, they'll still fit fine. I highly recommend these!
I bought these bibs for winter farm chores. The butt flap was the big feature for me and is greatly appreciated in the cold snowy weather. My bibs came just in time for our snow storm. They are very warm, fit very well and are comfortable. I bought a short medium pair I am 5'4 and about 120 pounds and can have more layers underneath and still be comfortable.
These are the best bibs ever for women. It's a pain to remove multiple layers to unhook bibs then have them around your ankles, especially in a public restroom or outhouse. YUCK. These bibs solve all those problems! Easy peasy to zip down the back flap, do your thing, flip it, zip it and be on your way!
Love these! Flexible for work and also for hiking. My only thing is I wish there was an elastic inner boot piece so I could keep the snow out of my boots in deep snow. For reference, I am 145 lbs and 5'8", I got the 8 but there is quite a bit of extra room so I could have gone to a 6. I like the space for warmth though so I chose to keep. By the way, flap for bundled up peeing in -10F is very useful! :)
Used the size chart and ordered online, since its impossible to find womens work clothing in stores but was pleasantly surprised by the fit. fits nicely all around except in the back there is a little gap above my butt but a jacket would cover it. 5'2 170 lbs ordered a large short
Cold weather & snow came early here in Northern Wisconsin so I had my first chance to test their performance! I knew they fit well but now can say that they keep me warm & toasty on our UTV offroad trip through the woods yesterday...33 degrees and snowing!!
Love the side zippers for bathroom breaks on the job... I’m a horse trainer so I’m outside 12-14hrs a day! I haven’t used them for cold weather yet so can’t comment on that. Would give them 5 stars if they were the heavy Carhartt canvas but they aren’t I am worried they won’t hold up to riding 8-10 horses a day plus farm work
These are HUGE. I ordered a size small, after measuring myself. I’m 5’2” and 130lbs, and when I got them, I could almost tie the pant legs together and fit another person in with me. It worked out well, though, as my mother in law fit into them. I ordered a new pair in Xsmall, and will update my review when they come in. But for reference, ordering a size smaller might be beneficial.
I'm an apprentice electrician and I wore these all winter long on a solar field project. They kept me warm, dry, and the drop seat function was very convenient to use the temporary bathrooms but it also allowed for cold air to go down my back if I didn't have my base layer tucked into my leggings underneath. I'm 5'5" 200 lbs and I normally wear a size 12. The regular Large (12/14) fit perfectly but as I continued to wear them the side zippers would start unzipping themselves every time I bent/knelt down and they got so bad that the whole side of my thigh was exposed. I noticed that another woman was experiencing the same problem in her review. I wish they used better quality zippers for their products.
Ordered a Medium Regular, I'm 5'4"/145/athletic, square build; the fit is spot on. The fabric is a soft cotton, not the hard duck I expected. The pockets are spacious and I'm particularly excited about the zippered kangaroo pocket!
I received these as a gift and at first didn't know if I would like them since they were different than the traditional ones that I had, but I LOVE them. They are super comfortable and not stiff at all. The way they are designed I am able to go to the bathroom without fully undressing, which is awesome in super cold weather in an outhouse or similar. I am 5'6'', 130lbs and have a 2Tall. I like the little extra length when wearing boots etc so they don't ride up when you sit or bend over.
I definitely recommend this product! Ive had insulated carhart bibs before but the difference between those and this pair is amazing. These actually fit correctly, they are very warm. I am able to move freely in them.
I ordered the Cryder bibs over the classic because they were advertised as being more comfortable and having more freedom to move. I was not disappointed. Driving sleighs outside all winter was made beyond comfortable due to these bibs, and on days it was -10 or -15 I could get away with just base layer or warm leggings underneath, I did not need to have multiple layers. I prefer the way the straps cross in the back, it helps hold the weight of the pant (in my opinion).
Easy to climb in and out of the sleighs without ripping them in the crotch (happens with almost every other snow pant or bib I've owned). They held up amazing and will live for seasons to come.
I am loving these bibs! We are in the middle of calving in Montana and they have been great on the cold days. The bibs are extremely comfortable and easy to move in. Unlike most lined bibs, you don’t feel bulky and weighed down. The drop seat is a plus, on a large ranch you can’t always run to the house to potty. It’s great that you don’t need to take half your clothes off to go!
Very comfortable and warm. I'm 5'2" and I weight 180 pounds. The large fits nice and I wear clothes underneath. The straps are a little awkward to open and close. However I love them worth the money. ??
I never take the time to write a review but this is a tool women need to know about who bathroom breaks are a fact of life in the field. Sturdy, warm, very comfortable with quick bathroom access and lots of pockets is all you need to know. I have abused my zip bib overalls for 14 months and they are one of my top 5 tools I use daily. Its that simple. Thanks
They fit well the only issue I have is that the straps rub my neck. I still recommend them because they keep you nice and warm if you work outside like I do. I also love how easy it is to use the restroom without having to take everything off once you are bundled up.
So nice to have bibs like these! Especially for a short girl
I love these Bibs. I am short and wear a size 12, so finding winter wear can be daunting. I think spending a little more money for these versus other bibs is worth it. I use these in New England. I just wore them for the first time in Northern Vermont during a period of heavy snow and snow snowmobiling. They were great outside, as well as in shelter during breaks. Pee breaks are also so easy with the engineering. I am 5'1" - 175 lbs & I wear a size Large Short. I originally ordered an XL Short as I figured it'd be better to have them a little bigger verse small. They were very bid on me. I was very surprised with the difference once size down made. Way less bulk and length in the legs.
Love these Overalls!!! They even saved me from being badly Injured by a chain grinding disk!
I love love love these overalls for so many reasons! I work outside all winter long and last year I struggled with the fact that every time I had to go to the washroom I would have to take my Jacket off to take my overalls off etc. And there I was, shivering half naked outside in -30 degree weather losing all my body heat and wishing there was another way. These overalls are what I had been praying for! They've honestly changed my life, I've never felt this way about a piece of clothing before. They are super warm and stretchy. The zippers on the sides allow you free your bum without taking everything off! That means being able to go to the washroom comfortable and without everything falling out of your front pouch (Big pet peave). The other day I had a really close call that would have ended very badly if it wasn't for these pants! I was using an angle grinder with a chain disk on. (for those of you that don't know what that is its a chain saw chain that spins on a disk). The chain grabbed the piece of wood and threw the grinder right into my leg. The double thick knee and insulation jammed up the chain giving me enough time to yank the machine off of me. The pants were cut through all 4 layers but left me with only a scratch! If it weren't for these pants It would have cut right into bone. I want to clarify that these are NOT certified safety pants but I am so grateful I had them on!
I am just over 5 feet tall and 110lb. I always struggle to find something that will fit well. Youth clothes are usually too small or don't fit quite right. I gave the smallest, shortest carhartt size a try and it was a bit too bulky. Especially in the legs. Since I am using them for ice fishing and working outdoors in Maine I decided to keep them anyway. So far they are warm and very flexible. I have lots of room for layers underneath. Probably wont buy another pair as they are a littler bigger than I was hoping, but the quality is great. If you didn't stop growing at 12 like me, you should be just fine!
Love these overalls! I can slip into these anytime I need to work in the yard or with our chickens. These Cryder bibs are protective enough for me to jump into them without changing into “yard clothes” first, making getting outside to do chores quicker and easier. They are super warm, have generous sidepockets and are super easy to get in and out of. Smart side zipper design places them behind the suspender straps. They aren’t waterproof but take a long time for any moisture to actually soak through; I can sit on wet ground for long periods without discomfort. Definitely worth the investment!
I'm 5'3" and usually wear regular length pants, size 10. I purchased the large short (I want to wear these over jeans) and they fit great, are warm and comfortable. But the short length is ridiculously long. The pants puddle slightly on the floor. I need to wear these in a muddy environment and these are so long I step on the back with my heel, which is going to makes these a muddy mess at the bottom. What is worse is that the zipper goes all the way to the bottom of the pant leg so you cannot hem the pants. It would be much better if the zipper stopped 3 inches from the bottom and the bottom was closed with snaps. This way ladies could hem these pants if needed. I mean I'm 5'3" and don't wear petites sizes, yet I find these pants so long I'm considering returning them even though they are perfect in every other way. As an FYI usually women's petite pant inseam is 28" and these are 30". I would think most women would wan these pants to be on the slightly shorter size because they are being worn with boots, not heels.
These are perfect for me! My expectations were exceeded when I wore them snowshoeing. They moved easily, were perfectly insulating even when resting on a snowbank, and were durable against brush and my dogs claws. Best of all, the super slick zippered side for easy bio breaks!
