Whatever the job, this insulated jacket for women keeps you warm and dry from start to finish. Made of heavy duty, cotton-blend stretch duck that sheds water, the jacket features stretch panels on the back and at the elbows so you can chop wood, turn compost, or reset fences with ease. Features:
Quick Duck® weighs less but is ounce-for-ounce as tough as our legendary sandstone duck; Rain Defender® durable water repellent (DWR) keeps you dry and moving in light rain and wet weather

All Full Swing® gear is built broken-in to help you move like you mean it 24/7 and features stretch across the shoulders, arms that move free without the jacket riding up, and bigger bend in the elbows
Built to move with Rugged Flex® stretch technology
Recently bought a farm in Michigan and had a lot of work to do outside. This jacket is awesome. I would buy it 15 times again. I like the full range of movement. I'm 5'3 and 120 and the XS is prefect for me. I have room to wear a hoodie underneath it too. I would recommend for sure.
We purchased the men's Full Swing Cryder Jacket for all of the guys on our engineering staff. After we received them and all of the guys were raving about how great they were, I ordered one for my personal use.
Arms way too short. The LG isn't much longer but a ton wider. Why are the arms so short? I have to return it. I can't wear it with short arms. I started at a md, then called after I ordered a lg, hoping it would fit. I was told the arms were only 3/4 inch longer.
Great jacket! The waist has the string you can pull and make it right around your waist so wind is not blowing up, has a pocket around the chest area which I found out about on accident lol! Keeps me warm and super light weight and I feel like I can do anything in the jacket honestly.
I love this jacket however the sleeves are borderline too short. I am only 5'3 and don't have substantially long arms so I would be leery if you have longer arms (potentially try on in store first)!! Otherwise this jacket is the bees knees! I hope the thin shell protects from the cold as well as they claim!
I have had this jacket since I started at Carhartt in 2017. This is the best jacket I own. I horseback ride so I am outside in the cold weather alot. This jacket keeps me very warm and allows for me to move when I am riding. No complaints about this jacket. Literally the best jacket I have in my closet
I got this coat late last Winter and got a load of use from it and it has become my favorite "go to" when working out in the barn or on the tractor. It fits well, cuts the winter winds, repels rains and snow very well and is comfortable to wear and work in. I love the way the ends of the sleeves have a little extra coverage and fits under gloves perfectly to keep hands protected nicely.- and the rain falls right away! The jacket seems the perfect weight and I bought a tad bigger to layer- but so far additional layers have not been needed! LOVE IT...Carhartt products have never let me down in quality and performance.
I was so excited to buy this jacket because of the full swing features and the soft material but when I put in on I was so bummed! The arms are too short even if I went up a size. Carhartt needs to start making the arms just a little bit longer!! I have the same problem with their long sleeves! Ugh!
I tried this coat on in a store, size small. I was surprised it barely fit me and I am pretty slender, 5’5” 110 pounds. I would not have had room for anything but a close fitting light layer. Its a nice coat but was surprised how lightweight it is for a winter coat, I just didn’t think it would be warm enough for our Nebraska winters that can have windchill temps of -20 and below. It would be a good coat for fall and running into town but then it doesn’t have a two way zipper for more comfort sitting in a vehicle. In the end it is just too expensive for not having the two way zipper and more insulation.
True to size, I could have probably gotten away with a small but love the extra room when wearing a sweatshirt. Not to long in the sleeves and or body. I'm 4'11 130 and ordered the medium. Over all great jacket!
This jacket is super comfortable. My only issues with it is I had to size up because the arms were a bit too short and it is thinner than expected so I had to be able to put a sweatshirt or layers underneath it.
I was debating between the Cryder and the Jefferson. They seem to be about the same warmth level, but the Cryder has a hood and the full-swing back. After trying them both, I have to agree with other reviewers about the Cryder sleeves...I liked the angled cuffs but the sleeves are too short. The Cryder could also use a double-ended zipper...to me any coat that's hip-length is so much better with a double-ended zipper if you're going to wear it while driving. Opted for the Jefferson.
Love it!! It’s so warm and perfect for walking around campus and being active outside during cold months. My only complaint is that the arms are a bit short but not noticable, but my arms are very long so it’s nothing to be concerned about
I absolutely love this jacket! This jacket is one of the best on the market. It’s tough as nails, water repellent, warm, and it breaks in beautifully. It’s a workhorse! I own two of them now and it stands up season after season.
One of the best jackets I’ve ever owned. I’m 5’3 125 and ordered a medium and it fits perfect with still a bit of room to be able to layer underneath if I need to during the cold. Love the structured look of it and it’s great quality. Highly suggest a purchase to anyone looking at this product.
Runs very large: I got an extra-small in spite of the TrueFit recommendation of small. Even so, it’s super loose - almost comparable to my boyfriend’s (men’s medium)!
Aside from that, it’s perfect: light, comfortable, warm, soft without being flimsy. It looks and feels very well-made, and the adjustable waist tabs and bottom drawstring give it a nice shape even though it’s quite a bit larger than I’d like.
The sleeves also seem a tad short, but I think it’s because of the (genius!) angled cuffs. They keep my wrists warm even with arms bent to put my hands in the pockets, and they curve away at exactly the spot where I always pinch/rip/stain other coats.
Ordered a size large because I was right on the cusp of medium and large. It was so loose! It's a nice jacket, but I think I'm going to go for a different style because the material didn't seem like it would be very tough. It's very soft fabric. Also the zippers are all hidden, which I think might get annoying (but others might find helpful).
I love this jacket but, the arms are too short. I even tried the large but then it's just huge. I am a normal athletic build, 5'7" 145 and the medium fits perfect but, the arms are too short! I kept it anyway but wish they were longer. My wrists are cold! Funny, it doesn't look like the arms are short on the model and I am an average shape, not abnormally long arms! Bummer! Other Carhartt Jackets in medium fit me perfect arms and all! I don't get it! Is mine defective?!
Everything about this coat is great. The only thing I would improve is the length. Otherwise, it is extra warm and very flexible to allow full range of motion. The hood is a nice bonus. There are plenty of large pockets for your phone, pocket knife, wallet or anything else you may need to have on you when working outside.
Bought this jacket a year ago and I absolutely love it! I ordered an XL so that it would still fit comfortably with a sweatshirt underneath. I've been losing weight and plan to buy another one for next winter because it's now too big. Love the colors, too! Have the wine currently and planning on getting the green next year!
I bought this for my daughter (so she would stop stealing mine). She is tall and thin; she usually has to get a size up to accommodate her arm length/shoulder breadth which make for too much fabric in the body. The extra room in the swing meant she could get the correct body size without feeling suffocated in the shoulders. She wears this jacket daily!
Got the jacket as a Christmas present (that I specifically asked for) and I love it! My only comment is that adding insulation to the pockets would be awesome, because your hands don't stay warm in single-digit weather with unlined pockets. But, hey, I've learned to just wear gloves! Love the jacket!!
