The denim is midweight and has a substantial beefy hand even with the stretch. No jeans fit all body types but if you have moderate curves down to slimmer hips like me, you will love these. The leg is slim through the thighs and calves without being tight. The pockets are all roomy. My only ding is I wish for that little change pocket. \nThe sizing is accurate. I usually wear a size 12 in Carhartt jeans and ordered these along with another pair, both in size 12. While the other pair fit perfectly, these ran very tight. I'll need to exchange them for the next size up. My only other complaint is that they don't have a zipper, just a button at the top, which made it harder to pull them past my hips.
