It is basically a two in one coat so you can have a rain shell, an Omni heat jacket, or both (it will be great for travel). The length shelters me from the rain and is slightly longer in the back so I'm protected if I sit on a wet surface. The pocket flaps are useful for security but I usually keep them folded inside because I like the look. The hood is designed so that my face is protected without having to hang onto the top. Perfect piece for changeable weather- love the shell on its own or with the insulated liner- I was dry and warm on wet, cold days. I wish - like other reviewers- that the insulated jacket had an inside chest zippered pocket, and that the snap- close pockets on the shell were zippered for more security. \n\nBut other than those little wishes, it’s a great jacket, looks like a cross between a fashion raincoat and a sport rain jacket. I’m in between sizes M and L, and the Large is a little roomy, but doesn’t look overly huge.
