I had come to Garmin from FitBit because i could not get a Fitbit to connect to my phone. I was mostly pleased with the Vivosmart 4. Switching to the Vivosmart 5 has been a mediocre experience. It no longer registers flights of stairs at all. The sleep graph has random start and stop times. I turned off the Pulse Ox because it was so hard on the battery. On the plus side it does charge more quickly, but I am concerned the charging cable fitting will wear quickly because the connector to the fitness band seems tight. At this point, I will keep the tracker, but when it fails I will probably switch back to a Fitbit.
