The ones from Amazon are much more comfortable. I don't know what is going on. I've worn keens for almost 20 years and I've never had anything like this, they have always been great. I wear them almost every day. The quality is really good and they look good. . I love the color and they do have other color choices beside the one I chose. . I can also say that Keen has great customer service. I also have a pair of the taller hiking boots from Keen and I love them as well. Great product. . they do seem to run a little bit wider than what I expected, but not much and again I can’t say enough how comfortable they are. Ironically, while I used my boots on the farm, these were bought specifically after we downsized back to town and are only worn on pavement or occasionally on the grass when I take my dog to the park - and never go through mudpuddles or the like. They have also quickly developed cracks along the side and sadly, THESE ARE IN NO WAY WATERPROOF. I wore them on my walk on a few rainy days this fall and initially they needed to dry out overnight, now they are basically useless, as after this week's first walk, I have had these sitting - insoles and laces pulled out - in my toasty living room for FIVE DAYS and the insides are STILL damp. It's like they attract rather than repel water - even regular walking shoes don't take this long to dry out, it's horrific. I've had to wear my Targhee boots on my walks which is not fun. A complete and utter waste of a LOT of money. My husband has the same one in the men's version and wears his every single day on his 2 mile walk to work and has never had this problem. They seem a bit heavy to me, but the benefits were worth it. They are very stable and if I tripped or has a misstep they supported my ankles. It truly is waterproof unless you walk into deep water. I am 66 and have issues with bunions, but the wide toe box allowed me to walk without any pain. The sole is also very stable and minimizes any slippage.
