f you're only climbing mountains for the view, you're missing out. The adventure along the way makes journeys special. And the TREKR women's climbing pant with a STRAIGHT FIT makes adjusting along your travels a cinch, literally. Innovative side seams along the lower leg cinch up to convert into a capri. If you're heating up, just pull up for more airflow. There's no better pant for trekking to exciting new places.
These seem to fit looser than the TREKR capri pant. I am wondering if maybe I got last seasons capri pant? The rise is also higher than the capri. Hits at my belly button, which I like. I do like the looser fit and the interior drawstring tie to make sure they stay up. No need for a belt. I am 5'4" and about 145-150. I got the 28 inch inseam, size 10. I measured my inseam before I ordered and thought that the 28 would be too long, but it is almost too short. They look a little funny when fully extended down. I probably could have used more length. I might try the 30 inch if I order another pair. I do like the way they look when gathered up. Cute look. The charcoal color looks good.
I was going on a luxury cruise to Alaska, and needed to diversify my wardrobe. On weekends, I often just find myself throwing on jeans, and I needed pants that looked a bit nicer than jeans, and that I could hike in, stroll around town in, and be comfortable on the cruise ship where jeans were often not allowed. I bought two pair of these pants in size 6, 30L on in stone and seapine. I am 5’2” and weigh around 130 lbs and have no hips. For comparison, I wear a size 4 Lucky brand jeans, and toggle between a 4 and 6 in Ann Taylor petite dressier work pants. The 6 was perfect, a 4 would have been too small. I did have to take these to my seamstress to remove an inch off the leg, since I am a 29 inch inseam, and these were 30. I really liked the seapine color, wore it with black tops. The stone color is an interesting, it’s not brown, it’s not grey....in hindsight I think I should have bought the charcoal. Overall, I love these pants and wear them back at home as well!
These pants are so comfortable, but they also look nice enough to be worn for more than just outdoor activities. Thank you for carrying extra smalls. My daughter is 5’ 2” and weighs 100 pounds—they fit nicely with a little extra room. It’s so hard to find pants for a more petite teenager that are still cool!
I bought these pants to wear on a trip to Australia/New Zealand. They were perfect! A front pocket large enough for my phone and so comfortable-I even wore them on the 13 hour flight, and they still looked good!
The fit is perfect, the material is sturdy, and they look nice enough for casual as well as hiking wear. I have them in 3 colors. They are a bit pricey, but I'll wear them until they physically fall apart. Apparently this style is discontinued? -- Too bad! I was hoping for more colors.
Size/fit/comfort: I bought four styles of pants in this order and one other style from another website. I also bought multiple sizes of each one since I wear a 14 in all my dress pants (Express Editor) and shorts (Sonoma), and a 16 in jeans. The Trekr pants were my absolute favorite and actually the only pair I ended up keeping. I've worn them every weekend since they arrived. The 14x32 fit best in the waist, but the legs were more comfortable in the 16x32, so I opted for the 16x32. I have to cinch up the drawstring if I'm out moving around a lot, but otherwise they stay put. I noticed from the reviews on this and other items that I'm bigger than the typical customer, so I hope this helps other ladies my size. I'm 5'6" and about 170 lbs. I'm pear shaped - a full size smaller on top than on bottom. I'm not athletic, but I'm not a slug either - just somewhere in the middle. When it comes to clothes that fit, my trouble spots are usually arms/calves being too tight (I despise skinny style bottoms), and waist/legs being too big because I have to go up a size to get something big enough for my hips (but not in a way that curvy styles do anything for).
Style: Of all the Kuhl pants I tried (Trekr, Splash, Inspiratr, Move, and Freya) and all the other brands I tried, the Kuhl Trekr pants were definitely the best. Splash was okay, but the waist was a little too high and when rolled up they looked weird because they stuck out so far. I loved the material though. Move were super comfortable and I'd have kept them but another brand has an identical style for $30 less. Freya was okay but just didn't feel as good as the Trekr. Inspiratr was the only one I hated. In my opinion they weren't straight, they were skinny. I started looking for pants like these because I'm having such a hard time finding jeans that don't suck and because I wanted them for traveling (I'm a no leggings/sweats in public kind of person and I can't rock the athleisure look like some can). Trekr is perfect and will definitely be worn on the plane and in the theme parks when I head to Orlando next month. The front pockets are deep enough to hold essentials (lip balm, little bit of cash) and both the front and back pockets have held my iPhone securely while shopping, running errands, and chasing my high-energy dogs around the lake.
Value: My weight/size fluctuates a lot. In the past three years I've had to replace my entire wardrobe about four times, going up or down in size each time. Because of that I don't typically spend this much on a single piece of clothing, but these are worth it. I started keeping my timeless, long-lasting pieces in storage when I'm in an up or down cycle and these are definitely the type I will hang onto. If there were more colors I would order some.
Kuhl: The return process was super simple. The only thing easier would've been a pre-printed label so I wouldn't have to log on. The quality is top notch - nothing about any of the items I tried made me nervous about how long it would last. I've washed and dried my Trekr pants a few times already and they didn't shrink or change shape or anything else that typically goes wrong with new clothes. The only thing I would change is shipping - just about everyone offers free shipping at least one way, even if it's just a promo. Maybe they could at least offer free shipping both ways on your first order because it's a trial and error process for a lot of women to find the right size in a brand they're unfamiliar with.
I bought this as pants and shorts. Both are well made, comfortable, and look good. I'm pretty tall (5'11) and the pants are just long enough, which is a real struggle when looking for field clothes. Will buy again.
Great pants. The fit is spot on for me with size 0 (I'm 5'5" 103 lbs). I could do without the elastic to shorten, and may follow the lead of another reviewer and remove them. Care is easy...I take them out of the washer, give them a shake and hang them to dry. Good to go.
I bought the Ocean color, size 8 X 34. It is a nice, classy, medium blue and the material is soft and just stretchy enough. It appears more of a dress pant than a hiking pant. I plan to were the pants for my LONG international flights and other travel. The side, zippered, leg pockets are large enough for my small wallet on one side and phone on the other. They only reason they don't get a 5 star rating by me is because, they should probably do a "stay stitch" on the zippered pockets (one of the seam ends is coming loose) and I have muscular calves, so they are a little snug in the lower leg, but not annoyingly so.
I've been wearing the Trekr pant for all kinds of activities: running errands, hiking, hanging around, etc. They are soft, comfortable and look nice. I bought the small and I'm 5'8", 130 lbs with athletic build. I highly recommend these pants!
I’m a long-time, loyal buyer of Kuhl apparel and outwear given their style/function/durability. Unfortunately, my Trekr pants came w/ a stitching flaw in the waistband, but was able to resolve quickly w/ customer service.
Allow for about 1/2 size stretch in these pants after wearing for a few hours as material does give but holds its shape well.
As a tall gal, my main ongoing complaint w/ Kuhl pants is they are always TOO LEAN IN INVENTORY in TALL sizes and don’t replenish quickly, so I often can’t find my size/length unless ordered immediately after an item is launched.
I love these pants—they fit perfectly, and I love being able to order the specific length I need. The fabric is soft but nice looking—more like a dress pant than a recreational pant, but it feels and acts like a recreational pant—which makes them very versatile. They will get heavy rotation in my travel repertoire.
I love these pants. this is my second pair. They work great for every occasion. One thing that frustrates me is that they aren't available in 28" length. So after paying $80 I have to spend another $15 to have them hemmed.
These pants are so comfortable! I just wore them almost every day for a week trip in Iceland and they were perfect. I think they look ridiculous as capris, but worth it as pants! I will be buying another pair.
These pants fit so well. I got the 34" because I am 5'11". I am so happy they had that option available. I can't wear just any pants off the rack. I have thick thighs and am a big booty girl. These fit nicely and compliment my shape. I bought two pairs and might buy another, I love them so much!
I bought these for a spring trip to Germany and Iceland. These pants were perfect. They were light and easy to pack. The pants were cool enough for the warm spring weather and lots of walking while we toured Germany. And in the cooler temps in Iceland, I stayed plenty warm. Great fit, fantastic for walking, all around fantastic pants.
Finally! I've been searching for a pant that is comfortable, stretches, looks flattering on me, works for a hike, around town, with clogs, trail shoes, or a slighty dressy sandal (we are not talking heels here, but a snazzy Naot or something), and, that I could wear to work (I teach college but in a conservative department.) This fits the bill. Great with a sport shirt, great with a casual or nice tee shirt, dress it up with a drapey blouse, or cashmere or merino nice sweater. Just love these. Wish they came in black too. I bought one and I just ordered another. For reference, I'm 5ft 5.5 inches, 124-125, a very fit 59 (but not full time triathelete fit--I'm not rock solid muscle, though I try. :) ) Anyway, these pants are super flattering on me. I got size 4, 30 inch inseam (my legs are not super long, but not super short.) I think really a 31 would be perfect but I'm settling on the 30. Great with sandals and up to 1 3/4 inch heel height. I don't go over that much so I like this length. You may want 32 if you have long legs, are taller, or wear higher shoes. I'm simplifying my wardrobe and going only to pieces that are comfortable and multitask . This fits the bill. As usual with Kuhl, excellent quality, fast delivery.
Sadly, these have to go back. I like the fabric, but the fit gaps too much at my waist. (I have trouble with kuhl fit - hips are tight, waist is huge). I don't like these style side cargo pockets with the vertical opening, but they are everywhere these days. I hoped these would work, but the pockets are useless and difficult to use. They also don't fit my phone. My quest for functional and attractive (non-cotton) pants with cargo pockets deep enough to hold my phone continues.
I have these pants in charcoal, sage and ocean. Just ordered the vintage blue! These are my favorite pants!!! I have one Pair for work, and two for casual wear / hiking / mountain biking(in winter). They fit my knee pads underneath and stretch enough to be good pants for mountain biking.
I bought the Trekr shorts last summer in four colors and loved them. So, I was happy to see the Trekr pants on the web site this spring. I bought two pair to make sure the fit was similar to the shorts and it is. I just ordered two more pair. These pants have the perfect stretch, including a stretchy waist tie like the shorts. The way they cinch up in the length is genius! Check out the pictures. These are great for hiking, beach or just lunch and shopping with friends. I'm typically a size 6 or 8 and the size 8's fit perfect.
These pant fit great. I have a smaller waist and not skinny legs. These pant fit perfect in the long. Itrue to size. Very flexible for any type of hiking, golf or everyday wear. They look great and repel dirt.
These pants fit great, wash easily, dry quickly, are soft and comfortable, don't show dirt and the zipper pocket is really handy. I wore mine for five solid weeks in Chile and just bought another pair.
