I have now hiked 27 miles in them and the sole is peeling away from the shoe. See photo. \n\nA $180 boot should not already have issues in less than 30 miles of wear on them. I tried to return them because the sole is cracked inside or something and hurts your foot when you walk. Customer service said squeaky shoes are normal. They do not squeak. They pop and pinch your foot. I own numerous Moabs and another pair of Moab 2 mid in tan. All those shoes are fine. Beware if you get a defective pair as Merrell does not help you. At this point I will throw them out. These boots were comfortable and very light weight. These trails were uneven, muddy and rocky. I crossed a few creeks with no issues. I am a clumsy hiker and not once did I feel my ankle went unsupported. I definitely would recommend these boots!
