Push the limit of performance running and take it to the next level. Our most technically advanced support shoe is equipped with Mizuno Wave technology and a highly cushioned U4icX/U4ic midsole, providing an unprecedented level of comfort - while giving you a supportive and cushioned ride. The new upper features our new AeroHug technology that wraps around your foot to eliminate space between you and the shoe while running, resulting in a highly adaptive and comfortable fit.
It's been a while since I have run in Mizuno's and I have been beyond pleased with the shoe! Great stability shoe overall. There is more heel support and a thicker cushion around the heel than I am used to. However, I had no issue with it rubbing or aggravating my heels while running. There is a lot of cushion to the soles however they still have a firm feel when walking in them and provided great energy run and a little bounce to my stride while running. I haven't tested these shoes out on many long runs but have taken them on short to moderate distance runs and have loved running in them! Glad to be back in a pair of Mizunos!
I wear these sneakers to work because I'm on my feet all day in a kitchen. They're comfortable but not as comfortable in the heel as the Wave horizon 2. I was in the car all day and my right heel started to bother me due to the design of the heel. This happens to me everytime. I find a sneaker that fits so well, and you stop making it. I scoured the internet to find the oldermodel in my size and its impossible.
The new Mizuno Horizon 3 is fabulous! From the very first time I put them on, they felt like my favorite robe, comfy and cozy! The Horizon 3 is very stable, true to size, and has plenty of cushion for my runs. I love everything about them! Way to go Mizuno!! 😍 #mizuno #mizunohorizon3
I was hoping this shoe came in narrow, but my foot didn't seem to move around too much and I didn't get any blisters. Felt support the whole way on my medium distance runs. Was looking for a replacement for the Brooks Adrenaline GTS which I had worn for years, but the last 2 versions/models have not had enough support for me.
This was my first time trying this brand and shoe and I must say I was impressed! I was worried my foot would be too wide but they are very comfortable and feel supportive. This is a great shoe for your everyday runs. I tend to wear some lighter shoes for workouts but this shoe is perfect for easy runs.
When Mizuno contacted me to see if I wanted to try the new Wave Horizon 3 prior to its March release, of course, I said yes! I have been running in the Wave Inspires for a couple of years now and have been really happy with them. The Horizon, a stability shoe, is billed as a "high mileage shoe". I received the shoe in my favorite color, black, with purple highlights. It was love at first sight. Truth be told, the initial appearance of the shoe reminded me of my old beloved Asics Gel Nimbus, and after running in the Horizons, I think that this would be the perfect replacement for Nimbus lovers who have been disappointed with the changes in those shoes. The Horizon is much heavier than the Wave Inspires (9.8 ounces vs 8.3) but not so much that I noticed it on the run.In fact, I had my best run of the week in the Wave Horizons. The shoes are very cushiony and the soles are stiff like the ones on my Inspires. Do you Mizuno runners notice that your shoes make more of a snap when you hit the pavement than with other brands? I did also try my Wave Horizons on the treadmill, but because they are heavier, I think these shoes will be better outside. I'm really excited to continue running in the Wave Horizons.
I love the Wave Horizon 3 because it's extremely supportive/durable BUT it is also lightweight. I typically change shoes for long runs and speed work, but I can wear the Wave Horizon 3 for both. To me, this makes the price-point affordable. Two pair of good running shoes would cost over $200, so I'm excited to find a pair that I can wear for a variety of workouts. Plus, I can wear them when I take my kids for stroller walks.
The Wave Horizon 3 is true to size, so I felt comfortable getting a pair of them without trying them on. They fit comfortably snug, but they're definitely not too narrow. Highly recommended!
I've logged about 50 miles in this shoe so far. I primarily use it for road running, but it has been taken off-road a little bit and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it gripped! It has a slightly wider base, and that aids in the stability of the shoe a little bit. Great for long runs and especially slow miles. I was surprised by how smooth the heel to toe transition felt even on the first run.
