Instead of just buying the older series shoes that are on sale, which I do for myself, I decided to buy my wife the latest model so she could pick her color. Her first reaction after wearing them for a run was how much support and cushioning there was. Clearly the latest series shoe was superior to her current Wave Inspire 13, which was her favorite shoe. Of course, the color and style were an added bonus.
I was concerned that the Wave Inspire 13 was no longer available, so I ordered the 15 with hopes. Which were more than fulfilled! Comfortable, flexible, but with good support and did not need any breaking in.
I love this shoe. I never tried this brand of shoes but for some reason always thought they were too narrow. I tried them recently and love them. They are supportive but springy and perfect for everyday runs.
Great shoe; comfortable toe bed, good support. I'm not happy with the color choices. I loved last season's black with some color (like mint green) and the Barbados cherry (red) were awesome. Just got the lavender and it's very bland. The support is good, but seems like the fabric doesn't hold good shape on the inside center area. I use them for gym workouts, which includes some light running (like a mile or two around the outdoor track), once or twice a week. I've been wearing mizuno wave inspires for years; I really like the shoe, this season I'm just not happy with the color choices (which is obviously not a significant factor). Looking forward to next season's colors.
My gait has changed a lot during this first year of postpartum running. I struggled to find a shoe that had just enough support and cushion - but the Wave Horizon 3 gets the job done and is great. I tried a few other brands and had pain in my IT band or hamstrings, but since using the WH3, I don't have those problems.
Something unique about these shoes is that they help propel me forward. The cushion near the heel allows for and promotes optimal running posture and fluid motion.
The shoes are very light weight. As a run coach, I would recommend these for both long runs (the cushion is king!) as well as speed workouts. I've never worn a pair of running shoes that was light enough for speed but durable enough for distance. It's almost like getting two pair in one - so the value is there for sure.
I'm on my 10th pair! I have narrow feet but not narrow enough to special order narrow shoes. But this model seems to run a bit on the narrow side and so they fit my feet perfectly. If your feet border on wide, you might want to consider ordering a wide. I love this model for the stability, cushion and durability. I quit using custom orthotics because the shoe is so well engineered that all I have to do is take out the Mizuno insert and replace it with a SuperFeet brand insole.
The upper fits a little more snugly than the 14, but is not too restrictive. And the tab on the tongue is moved up a bit, holding the laces in place and preventing the tongue from moving around too much (which always happens to me). Shoe has a nice smooth ride without being too firm.
I used to do my training runs in Inspires but had moved to a different brand because the last couple models were too heavy and uncomfortable. These are light yet supportive and I have easily done longer training runs in these without any compromises.
I love these shoes. I've never owned Mizuno running shoes before, but have tried most other brands. These are so comfortable! I felt like I was running on clouds with how much support and comfort they offered. I felt like they made my outdoor run a lot quicker and easier on my joints. I suffer from shin splints and knee pain from running and have felt neither so far.
They do feel a bit bigger than other running shoes I've owned, so perhaps I needed to size down a half size. I'm usually a 7.5/8 but consistently wear 8 in running shoes, so that's what I ordered. These have 'jogged' my interest in running again!!
I've been running in the wave inspires for almost 10 years now and the 15's do not disappoint. I have a flatter foot and need some support but find other supportive sneakers too heavy in the heel. These are the perfect mix of lightweight but supportive making them great for longer distances during marathon training.
The new 15s do not disappoint! Went for a run this morning, and they felt supportive and light weight. I love that you can feel the responsiveness of the road, but still have that support for the long distance. I often forget that I'm wearing shoes when I wear the Inspires, as the are such a natural fit! I would wear these for any training run and would race in them too. Definitely recommend 🙌🏼
I used this shoe on many runs! I've been running in the Inspire for 10 years and this version in my opinion is the best yet! The toe box finally fits my foot the way it should. The shoe feels responsive on the run and I even did a few workouts in it! I love any shoe that feels like I don't have one on, this fit the bill!
I've done several long runs in the new Inspires and I've been so happy with them. They feel light, hug my feet exactly where I want them to, and didn't take any time to break in. They're so comfortable I find myself forgetting to take them off when I get home. I've been wearing the Inspire for 7 years and have almost never had an issue with the shoe. This model is just a better version of what I've worn in years past.
I am LOVING the new Wave Inspire 15's! I was having a nagging pain in my leg while running with another popular branded shoe, but ever since I switched over to the new Mizunos the pain is completely gone! I love how light weight they are too.
