I am glad that I spotted this jacket at the store and was able to try it on because I am usually a small and the medium size fit much better. The small was tight. Please be aware, this type of jacket runs small. For reference: I am 5\"4 118lbs. I live in Colorado and so far, this jacket is keeping me nice and warm. I was thinking this would be perfect for when she is outside watching our boys play. Unfortunately it runs very small. She is a size 8 and the medium fit more like a xs it seemed. We did test out the heating part of it and it's perfect. There is two options high and low. The battery charges quickly too. It uses a micro USB. I found it to be a little snug in the stomach/hip area when I’m wearing a heavier shirt underneath, but I was still able to zip it and move around comfortably. The jacket is lightweight and not at all bulky, but it keeps me warm and cozy even without the heating zones turned on. It has an interior zippered pocket as well as an open interior pocket, plus the 2 exterior zippered pockets. The exterior right pocket has a smaller Velcro pocket inside of it that holds the battery and contains the plug that the battery connects to. When the battery is connected to the jacket plug, the round, black and red button outside the pocket lights up in one of 4 colors to indicate the 4 different heat levels. The heat can be adjusted by pressing the button. I didn’t download the app that would enable me to control the heat from my phone. The jacket has 3 heating zones, one on either side of the zipper in the chest area and one on the upper back between the shoulder blades. The heat zones warm up quickly. The sleeves also have an interior longer layer with thumb holes that help keep your hands a little warmer. When I received my jacket, the battery was charged to approximately 50% as shown by the 2 white lights out of 4 that were lit on the battery when I first plugged it in. It took about 1.5-2 hours to charge from 50 to 100%. I charged the battery by connecting the supplied micro-USB cable to a USB adaptor I already had and plugging it into the wall.
