They felt perfectly broken in from the very first wear. I have wide feet and usually get blisters when hiking or backpacking, but I wore these on a three week trip through Italy — hiking in both the Alps and Cinque Terre — and didn’t get a single blister! I’ve always been a loyal HOKA fan, but these completely won me over. They’re honestly the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. I did have to size up, though. They're very comfortable, and the grip and tread worked perfectly in Moab on some casual walks/hikes. I am admittedly not a serious trail runner, so my review is based on occasional outdoorsy pursuits and also for the LOOK. I find New Balances fit me true to size- I'm a 7.5 and fit in a 7.5. I have feet that are just shy of being wide, and these are comfortable.
