{"reviews":[{"id":7246750,"locale":"en_US","rating":4,"title":"Fashion over function","text":"I primarily look at my Nike shoes for function- running, the gym etc. However, with these shoes I had the opportunity to really embrace the fashion aspect of Nike, and these definitely helped me to elevate that every day look while also being comfortable. The initial fit was a little tight-- they definitely were a more fitted shoe, but after a few wears they loosened up and were easier to slip on and off. I'd say these run pretty true to size, as well. I got my normal size (a 9.5) and they fit well. I appreciated the pop of the metallic silver on the heel \"shox\". The rest of the shoe was very smooth too- the light grey really stood out against the whiteish base of the shoe, and helped emphasize the Nike swoosh and sleek appearance. The reflective details were further able to help elevate the look and provide just a bit of pizzaz when wearing at night. These are a perfect blend of \"matches with everything\" and \"stand out fashion\". I found they paired well with leggings, shorts, and jeans which gave them a bit of versatility. \n\nMy one concern/complaint? I love the color pattern of the greys mixed with soft leather and suede material. I wish they were a little more wider in the arch area but other than that they are perfect. I have wide width feet so I always have to get a half size bigger but to my surprise the length of the shoe was not big at all it was a just fit. After wearing them all day these Nije Shox were still comfortable and I was not in a rush to change into my slippers, it was like walking on a cloud all day. I will definitely purchase a pair in another color. These are the perfect in-between for function and fashion. I was comfortable enough walking my dog and doing light exercise, but also used them to elevate my style when wearing athletic or athleisure wear. The suede on the exterior is really luxurious and takes the vibes up a notch. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them! I was given an 8.5 which is my normal size and they fit perfectly. They feel a little heavy and clunky compared to other sneakers. I couldn’t see myself running in them but they definitely pass as a lifestyle shoe. I work in healthcare and wore them to work and my feet felt great. They also looked fantastic paired with my scrubs. It’s fun to still be fashionable in a healthcare setting but you don’t want to waste your shoes to hurt your feet. These were a great choice. \nThe design makes your foot look wide when you look at it from above. The fabric on the sides is like suede and I don’t know how it would hold up yet getting wet or scuffed. \nI liked the color scheme and that despite the clunky feel, my feet felt great in them even after a long day on my feet. \nMy only hesitation is the suede-like material. If I was going to change something, it might be that, otherwise these will only hold up as a fashion type shoe I only wear occasionally and not as an every day one. I like sneakers I can wear to work, or wear out and about every day. These seem to fit the bill as long as the material holds up. They’re sporty but polished, and the gray/silver color goes with so many outfits. The sizing was perfect, too. The shoes felt comfortable with no tightness or rubbing. The unique heel made them super comfy. \n\nThe fabric was very sturdy. I accidentally spilled pop on them and it just wiped right off. Very convenient since I am clumsy. \n\nI would not change anything on these shoes. I loved the comfort the most. I could sleep in them; they are so comfortable. They are a style that I wouldn't normally select as they look very modern, but I actually loved how they felt on my feet and their appearance as I caught my reflection! They were comfortable straight out of the box, with not wear-in period. I have fairly standard feet width and I had no point of pressure or discomfort at any point wearing them. They aren't super chunky or heavy and they look sleek. The footbed is soft yet supportive and the sides are pliable so they don't rub on the foot. I love the dove grey color because it is subtle and matches everything and the mix of materials on the show makes them look expensive and custom. The toe box is a bit pointy compared to other shoes I own and the look I'm used to, but overall I love these shoes and my kids think I look cool wearing them. I love the suede and monochromatic look of these. I think it really elevates a casual outfit for running around town. The gray goes with just about anything, making these easy to throw on. They’re comfortable, but offer a little too much structure for my personal liking, which is the only reason I took a star off. The souls have a nice grippy tread on them. \nOut of the box, they were pretty stiff and felt a little squeezed in the toe box. Having worn them a few times now, they have softened a bit and are more comfortable.
