They were a bit of an investment but I'm really happy with them. They've got great big tire treads so you don't slip much while wearing these. I usually need arch supports in all my shoes, but I don't for these ones! They're very comfy. The tongue of the shoe gave me a little trouble when I first bought them (dug in uncomfortably, but only on one side) but after breaking them in for a little while, that's not bugging me anymore. They have proved to be comfortable and warm during snowy hikes. One recommendation for a design change is to have a barrier flap behind the tongue. A little snow can get in if shoe isn't tied tightly. However, the fit is a bit awkward. The left shoe is really tight but the right shoe fits better. I had to do the water method to stretch it out. You fill a ziploc bag with some water, put it in the shoe and put it in the freezer for a few hours. The ice will expand the shoe. This worked a little, I had to do it twice. The left shoe is still a little tight.
