We specifically asked repeatedly if this rack would fit adult and kid bikes securely and the sales rep at Jordan Creek in West Des Moines told us several times that Yes! It'll fit kids' bikes no problem.
The rack is perfect for a men's bike. Women's bike fits fine it's just at an extreme angle because of the bar. Kids bikes.....we have two 16 inch bikes. So far the only way we can get them both on with one women's bike (so 3 total....4 would NOT fit with the kids bikes on there) is to put the women's bike on first, then one 16 inch bike with the back bar strapped on and the gears resting on the spot where the other strap should be (so only one side strapped on) -- then the second kids bike was able to get two straps (not the 3 they recommend) on but only if we put it on upside down at an extreme angle. I know all kids bikes are different; our two are so different they don't fit the same way. Point being: we are super disappointed in how INCOMPATIBLE this rack is with 16 inch bikes, especially since that's what we were specifically asking for.
