The YETI Rambler® 14 oz Mug is the toughest, most over-engineered camp mug out there, because your hard-earned warm mug of chili after a long day deserves nothing less. 18/8 stainless steel keeps contents hot (or cold) and hands protected. Find a color that calls to you – the mugs are available in stainless steel, and in DuraCoat™ Color. The mug comes with the standard Rambler 30 oz Lid but is also compatible with the Rambler 30 oz MagSlider Lid.
Important: Do not place mug over external heat source or open flame. Vacuum seal or other damage may occur.
My husband bought this mug for me (and one for himself for Christmas, and it turns out it is quite remarkable! On a daily basis I have been using it for green tea in the mornings (keeps my tea warm during the 3-hour duration of my morning activities, and likely beyond that). I was skeptical when he claimed it would be a safe receptacle for handling liquid nitrogen (-321 degrees F), but it worked extremely well during the entire liquid-nitrogen-ice-cream-making process! We even used a larger YETI thermos to dispense the liquid nitrogen into our smaller ice cream holding YETI vessel without gloves. Highly recommended for both hot and cold drinks (and non-drinks...)!
I like Yeti's drink wares and own a few items including the larger holders. I thought this mug was adorable and with the handle but I think as a reviewer the mention the mouth is too wide allowing heat to escape and also the insulation is thinner than my other cups/mugs. I use it as my office mug indoors and it won't keep my coffee warm for more than 10 minutes. Sigh!
Received this as a gift by request. Wanted a cup that would keep my coffee hot all morning so I didn’t have to reheat. Nope. This doesn’t keep it warm at all. This is my first yeti and unfortunately I doubt I’ll be back for more. The look and feel is nice but that’s about it.
As an avid 25+ years coffee drinker and traveler I was thoroughly impressed. Perfect gift for me! As it is designed to do - the coffee stayed noticeably hot as I drink coffee all day at home and the office. Although not a traditional travel mug it is heavy and wide enough to stay stable in the car when I set it down. Great product.... I am a new fan!!
I bought the mug after receiving the wine cup as a Christmas gift. I drink hot tea....put tea bag in, pour boiling water, stick lid on, tea bag steeps, take out bag, remove lid, tea stayed hot til the end! Boil water til tea kettle whistles so water is hot!
I have several Yetis. I have the 20 and 30 oz, the colster and the wine tumbler. All do the job very well. For the guy who was disappointed that the mug wouldn't fit in his car, it's not supposed to. Get the 20 oz. with the slide on the lid and the handle. Mine goes EVERYWHERE with me. Stays hot for hours.
Got as a gift and was so excited I drink my coffee very very very hot so this is perfect! Nope. I put my usual scalding coffee in and an hr later it was lukewarm at best. Maybe I’ll try a different lid? Also, who has a cup holder this big? Disappointed for sure. Love the blue tho!!
This is replacing a taller, more slender mug that tends to get tipped over. I like the wide base of this mug. It is very difficult to tip over. And It feels substantial in the hand. Satisfying to drink from, but I would not want to put it in my pack if I was looking for a light-weight mug. Overall, I think its great. And who expects a wide, plastic covered mug to keep drinks hot for hours? Its science, people. I think its a great product. Well built and sharp looking.
I received the rambler as a Christmas gift and used it this morning. Put hot water to make tea at 7am. I had to sip my drink, due to the fact that kept burning my mouth. This occurred until 9:30. My rambler stayed at a consistently hot temperature until than. From then on my tea was warm. Im guessing the other reviewers drinks were not hot to begin because this mug is AMAZING!!!
I received this as a gift 1 week ago and have been disappointed. My coffee is lukewarm in less than an hour With each use. ! I do like the wide base which allows it to sit on the seat next to me, but overall, I’m not impressed with the performance.
Ok So lets start with this, this mug is my best but not best and fav coffee mug or cereal bowl, When ever I travel, and in the future;camp, it goes with me. I love it.
Now with things you love you tend to over look there flaws, this mug only has one flaw, it doesn't really keep your drinks warm/hot. It's not the fault of the mug, but the fault of the lid. I have a ton of vacuum sealed cups and the ones that hold the heat in have a great heat sealing lid. Yetti does not, it doesn't have a great lid as of yet that is meant for sealing in heat.
when they give this product a better lid, then it will get 5 stars.
I'm reading alot of reviews about the mug not keeping coffee hot/warm. I guess these people are expecting it to stay warm for hours upon hours. First of all, if you take longer than 1 hour to drink a single cup of coffee then you must not like coffee or there's a nipple attached to the lid. This mug works and performs better than a regular coffee mug and that's the point.
This mug is great for keeping coffee hot when we are at home or at the lake. Liked the first one so much, I had to get another. Another review mentioned a problem with the gasket, they are removable and lids are easy to clean in the dishwasher.
I won as a Christmas gift at my job the white mug and it is so pretty. It is perfect for my morning tea and coffee depending on the mood. The only complain I have is because of the size it doesn't fit in the cup holder in my car, but I still love it!
I use my mug daily. I love it! This morning I made coffee like normal, grabbed my lid and noticed it looked dirty, tired to clean out but quickly realized it was mold, stuck in my lid. There's no way to take off the rubber seal to clean underneath it. Now my choices are to but a new lid everytime this happens or but a different brands mug.
Waited months & months for this Rambler Mug - last year to be released... NOW USE MY SEAFOAM MUG EVERY MORNING & MY COFFEE IS ALWAYS HOT ! ! ! ! ! Recommend this MUG to EVERYONE who LOVES COFFEE.. Best of ALL the handle is a perfect fit in My little hands : D
I was a bit sceptical, I have just about every Yeti drink container. So since they had the Harbor Pink, I had to try the mug! I was shocked at how long it kept my coffee hot. My coffee maker goes off after 2 hours, so it was easy to gauge how long it kept my coffee hot. I have to turn my coffee maker on 2 more times from that 1st cup. So in 2 hours it was still too hot for me to drink fast!
Ok so I used to go through a coffee mug ever 2 months. Not now this mug is the best I have dropped it from about 10 feet off the ground still good. Also the powder coating is amazing it only has a small blemish on it from dropping it on the concrete. To be honest with you guys I never understood why your products are so much money but after owning this mug I get it. The quantity is amazing.
I received this mug as a gift a few months ago. I absolutely LOVE this mug, I use it every day for my coffee, but not only is this an amazing coffee holder, it can also be an anything holder! I have taken this with me on every single hiking/climbing/camping trip I have gone on in the past year and it is amazing. Its durable enough to handle the wear and tear of being used as a camp bowl/plate/ladle and the handle makes it so easy to clip on to the side of a backpack. Not to mention the fact that I never have to worry about the lid falling off! The only bummer about this mug is that it doesn't fit in a cupholder, but with the Magslider lid you can just set it in the seat next to you and you don't have to worry about it splashing all over the place.
I just bought one of these for both of my parents. 10/10 would recommend.
I bought this thinking it would perform as well as the 20 ounce yeti cup ,Which it doesn't. it works as good as a regular coffee cup and for the price of this cup you would expect so much more. Hot to the very last drop don't, think so.
This is the second Yeti cup I have bought to try to keep my coffee hot. My husband makes coffee for me before he goes to work and about 1.5 hours later I am getting up to get ready. Maybe I have a different definition of what hot means but the coffee is most definitely not 'hot'. Its not super cold either so I guess that is a good thing. I was just hoping for more based off soo many good reviews.
Look I see some people saying bad things but the truth is this is great for having a cup of coffee. This isn’t going to keep coffee hot all day. If you need that stop drinking coffee your doing it wrong. Buy one of the other jugs if you want to keep coffee with you buy this one if your going to drink your coffee and want to keep it really hot well doing so.
I got this after getting a 20oz tumbler and a 26oz rambler. Great little cup! Doesn't keep it as hot or cold as the 20oz but that is what I had expected given its smaller capacity and large mouth. Still works perfectly for coffee (hot for hours and soup. Would buy again over and over.
I bought this mug because I love my Yeti tumbler. I’m somewhat disappointed that it doesn’t perform as well as the tumbler. Coffee cools off way to quickly. It feels a little tinny, not as solid as the tumbler, but it fits under my coffee maker and feels good in my hand. A little more “Umph” and this mug could be golden.
My daughter sent me this mug for my birthday! I love it! She knows I was always nuking my coffee 6-8 times to heat it up, now I don't have to. I do, however, pour boiling hot water in my mug for a couple minutes to get it extra hot, then pour it out and put my coffee into it. Caution, it makes it very hot which is how I like it, but also keeps it hot for several hours!! I will also look forward to it keeping my wine nice and cold too! :-)
I bought this mug 5 weeks ago because I loved how it was like holding a regular mug. This mug shouldn't be sold with the top that it does. There's no place to hold it in my car so I've spilled the entire cup of coffee 3 times in my car. They need to make a taller and skinnier version with the handle. It would be perfect. I also bought the other top that closes and it still spilled when it claims its spill resistant.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this mug. I generally make coffee before leaving for work at 7:30 am. With this mug, along with the Magslider lid, my coffee is still hot at 10:30am, and still warm around noon! Why do I still have coffee that late in the morning? Because the mug keeps it so hot that I can only sip here and there.
I bought my 14 oz mug awhile ago and I'm still in love with it as I am with all of my other yeti products. What I have learned to help keep my coffee hotter longer is to prep my cup the same way I would my coolers. I heat up some water and pour it into the mug to help get the cup ready. I use a mag slider lid and keep it closed. All of this is being done while the coffee is brewing. Once the liquid gold is done brewing, I pour out the water and pour in the good stuff. I have noticed that it does help extend the "life" of my coffee especially if I'm busy doing things out around the house. Hope this helps!
Got this mug recently & LOVE it! Perfect for my tea or hot chocolate. The only negative is the lid it comes with. I get that it’s probably the proper lid for mugs, HOWEVER I’d highly suggest getting the 30 oz mag-slider lid. My tea did stay warm, but I can see how the other lid would help keep contents warmer longer. If you’re one to take your time & want your drink to stay super hot till you’re ready to finish it... definitely get the mag-slider lid. Otherwise it’s an awesome mug & I love the colour I chose.
I grabbed this mug thinking the performance would be about the same as the rambler 20. I was really disappointed when my coffee is cold after just a short time. I ended up putting this mug in my camp kit so it's always there for me and moved back to the tumbler for my morning coffee runs. Yeti just could have made the insulation barrier between the walls a bit thicker and could have improved the performance by 50% Disappointed
