The Rambler® Half Gallon Jug is built to take on the wild whether that's rough tumbles from the truck cab or fishing the Texas flats in August. Like the rest of the Rambler series it's constructed from 18/8 stainless steel has double-wall vacuum insulation and comes ready with our No Sweat Design. But this Rambler Jug is also outfitted with our MagCap and dock so your cap is never out of reach while you grab a drink. The one-inch of lid insulation locks in your drink's temperature unlike any other water jug out there. If you want to take your cold (or hot drinks) further for longer Rambler Half Gallon Jug has you covered.
One full inch of FatLid Insulation makes sure drinks stay frosty
MagCap locks into its dock so you can chug without worry Give your Rambler Jug a home in the truck bed or ATV with the Rambler Jug Mount
I absolutely Yeti products, use almost one of everything for the farm; from coolers for vaccines, to load out caddy for doctoring cattle in the field. But nothing is tougher than unscrewing the lid to the rambler jug. Had to put it in the freezer hoping to shrink it enough to get it loose. 2 days in the freezer and a few hammer swings I finally got it off.
Got it from my brother as a 2018 Christmas gift. Cold water for days. Hot Beverages into the next day. A little olive oil on the threads in between washes assists in easily opening and tightening the li. I have done this with any screwed in lid for years. One small drop of olive oil on the lower thread lines. Then screw it in and all the threads are easily cured. Great Gift, Bother !
I LOVE YETI Products , but this , and the 1 gallon Jug ( tried both will have to be designed so you can open the lid - I am over 200 pounds and an athlete, have very strong hands, and this thing is near impossible to open... yeah sure you can tap the lid with a blunt object( hammer?) to free it up but who wants to do that ? gonna have to redesign or discontinue
Bought this a month ago for my fiancé who is a college football coach. This is a life saver for him; lasts him from 5am to about 6pm. Indestructible (for what its put thru and he doesn't have to waste 5-6 plastic water bottles a day. Worth the price.
My first one was suppose to be my valentines gift from my wife but it got delivered a lil beat up called up yeti told what happened sent me out a new and said keep the other one which besides small chips out of lid and a lil dent it still good this thing keeps my water cold for 3 days and ice and keeps my coffe hot all day love my yeti products Customer service was friendly and polite on the phone
I purchesed the jug about a month ago and I love it. It keeps my water cold all day. I go to work at 6am and fill it up with ice and water. I fill it up about 3 times a day and never have to change the ice. When I get home and ready for CrossFit class at 7 and it’s still cold! I couldn’t ask for a better jug. I love it
I love Yeti products for the most part. With this half gallon jug, it is what one would expect from Yeti with regard to durability and exceptional liquid temperature maintenance. However, the jug must be closed very tightly to prevent leakage when pouring from the spout. Once the jug is closed so tightly, it is extremely awkward to open and refill. I have to put it between my legs and wrestle the darned thing like a WWE pro to make it budge. Either that, or I'm forced to ask my husband for assistance.
As always this is another reliable product from Yeti. My wife uses it as a water jug for work and still has ice in it by the time she gets home. The only downside I have found with it is it can be a pain to unscrew the lid. You have to mess with the tightness to figure out what works best for you
So I actually got mine as a gift, I used to take a jug of water(one of those plastic gallon jugs to practices for an entire season while coaching and then reffing games. It would always be hot and would taste like warm gross water, an athlete and his family had felt that I needed something different so they bought me the half gallon one. THIS THING IS AMAZING! I have filled up the jug with Ice and Water and had ice cold water over 24 hours later. As a teacher and coach I am living and working all day long. The sturdy handle provides easy transportation and I use this on a daily basis. Florida is grotesquely hot so this thing hasn’t been a lifesaver. Cons there is only one( The top gets tight.) Sometimes after it being tight all day the top becomes hard to screw off, with just a nudge on the black rubber grip on the handle it can be loosened enough to take off. This is annoying but it’s fine and can be delt with.
Just received my rambler today and I’m already in love. I work the graveyard shift at the VA hospital and I’m on my feet for twelve hours running around. This beautiful rambler has kept my water cold and my green tea hot. Needless to say that Yeti definitely delivers a quality product and has turned me into a loyal customer for life.
This is a great jug and I have been using it almost daily for over a year. My only con is it fell out of the pickup and got a dent. I had thought that a jug, "built to take on the wild" would be able to handle a little more abuse before having something like that happen.
I love this product but I seem to have a really hard time getting the lid to come lose every time I tighten it (I'm pretty fit and consider myself fairly strong. If I don't tighten the lid, it will leak. Some opportunity for improvement in that aspect.
Got the 64 oz 3-finger capped jug and couldn’t be happier. Just to prove a point to my dad, I filled it with water, dropped a couple ice cubes in, and left it out in direct sunlight throughout our entire mid-summer bbq, only moving it to drink some or keep it in direct sunlight. When the sun went down, I gave my dad a drink and the look of astonishment was worth every penny. Also just took it on a west coast bike trip of ~15 total miles in my backpack and it was most welcome to have cold water for the whole ride and not have to force down room temp or hot water. It’s just a water jug, but it does it’s job better than any I’ve come across.
I had the rambler 64, after years of good use, it started to make a rattle sound inside one of the walls. Didn't do anything to its capability, but was annoying. Figured i'd contact Yeti, because the 64 was no longer available, the rep upgraded me to the half gallon jug. I thought it'd be too bulky and a pain to drink from, but this thing is great! Yes, it would be hard to drink while driving, or one handed, but it keeps my water ice cold and the handle is super convenient. I love being able to drink from it all day while coworkers who bring smaller water bottles always have to refill. Pick this thing up, you wont be dissapointed
I started out with a 36 oz. insulated Rambler, but decided I wanted an easier drinking cap, without having to unscrew the entire top (even after trying the clear plastic alternative cap.
The ½ gal. jug is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Having the wide top makes it a breeze to add just the right amount of ice (without the cubes scattering all over the counter), as well as making it very easy to keep clean. The best innovation, though, is the magnetically held screw cap. It’s got just the right amount of strength, without having to pull so hard that you pull the jug over.
Both the Ramblers and the Jugs keep ice cold, with a smaller amount of melting, compared to ANY other brand I’ve tried before.
I’ve never liked “straight” Coke or Sprite, so I’ve always used a thermos with as much ice as possible. You get the advantages of drinking just water (from the melted ice), combined with just the right amount of “soda” (or “pop”) flavor (depending on where you grew up). I’ve gotten stuck between, so both “soda” and “pop” now just “sound wrong” to me ;-)
As far as color selection, the “Brick Red” is the winner for me. Putting a color over “plain Stainless Steel” not only gives it a great look, but also gives it just enough of a “grip”, so you never feel as if you’re going to drop it (even when completely full).
Everything yeti makes is appealing to the eye and the quality as well as the ruggedness always standout, their products are built to last and made of great materials. However, like everything Yeti makes, this bottle is heavy and bulky, they often overlook the ergonomics of all their gear. This bottle should come with 2 different caps,, mine only came with the black cap you see on the 32oz version and it's not comfortable to carry when the bottle is filled with 64oz of liquid, it should also come with the cap you see on the gallon jand 1/2 jugs, they are more comfortable to carry. It would be nice if metal slip on handle was available as well as a carrying pouch. I love yeti products but hey need to figure out how to reduce their bulk and weight of their items. Their coolers are only usable if you are going to be permanently locating them like the back of a boat or by a pool as they are too dam heavy to use them as a portable option, even empty they are a struggle to carry, when a 20+ cooler is loaded with beverages and ice, you ain't carrying that thing anywhere, at least not very far. The bags are a much better portable option but who can afford them? They are insanely over priced, I would love one though, the flip tops are really nice.
I’ve been carrying the half gallon jug for over the last month and it has exceeded all expectations. Plenty of icy cold delicious H2O when ever I need it. I haven’t needed to purchase bottle water, so it will pay itself off in no time and be a big money saver into the future. Very happy with the purchase.
I have had this for over a month now. I am a plumber and take it with me everyday. Holds ice for multiple days, even in the high 90’s. Only thing I have a hard time with is some times it is hard to open to clean. Great seal, but sticks from time to time if over turned. Other then that, love it.
OBSESSED!! Another half gal is coming in Navy Vlue
I use my half gallon jug EVERY day!! I take it to work with my ice water and I love that it keeps my water fresh and cold no matter how hot it gets!! My man and I love them so much he just ordered the Navy Blue half gallon for me and he'll start using the black one! Perfect size to keep your daily water intake up! : only thing is, I have such a hard time opening the hulk lid haha!! The suction is incredible ^_^ It takes two people almost every time!!! ALL in all, great product and worth EVERY penny. I recommend them to everyone :)
I use this drink weekly and even daily and expect nothing but cold water every time I reach for a drink. This literally sits in the back of my truck or in the truck ready for my return after shed hunts, trail camera checks or just being out playing in the hills all day. It has kept my ice all day and provided hour after hour after hour of refreshing cold water. I reccomend this mug to all my hunting associates and I have never been let down yet. Incredible gear that's worth every penny.
Bought the stainless steel version about 6 months ago and it does a great job of keeping my water cold all day. The only complaint I have is that if you tighten the lid too tight (even just a tad) it can be difficult to remove. You have to find the right balance between too loose and too tight. Just received the navy version today, time will tell if it’s any different but great product none the less.
Deployed in Kuwait, got tired of drinking 120 degree water, so I bought the half gallon jug. I add ice from the chow hall and our freezer after adding the warm water and it will keep it cold until I have to add a full batch of warm water and ice again. The only thing that I have to be careful on is touching the sides after it has been baking in the sun, and even then the insides are sill ice cold. Absolutely the Best Buy I have made in country!
I bought this rambler to use for my classroom to keep cool and hydrated. I love how it keeps the water and ice all day, no sweat (unlike my plastic bottle), and it's so easy to carry. Also it pours water into my rambler tumbler without splashing or spilling.
Amazing all around product! From the rubber handle, the size of the opening of the lid, the thickness of the lid, the mag cap, etc. I am a big guy and I can fit both my hands in the opening, great for ladling out soup or mac & cheese (for the kids). It even holds the contents cold all day while sitting in hot sand under the sun. I just wish I could have found a store that had it in red (searched from Texas to Florida).
I bought this for my son for baseball and he absolutely loves it! No more drinking out of hot water bottles and it lasts him all day during tournaments. He loves the fact that the cap is a magnet. A must for any outing on a hot day!!!
