I bought this and my dad stole it from me upon it being delivered. He used it for a family gathering, packed it with ice the night before and added beer the following afternoon, and the ice had barely melted. By our calculations, the last ice cube melted about 4 days after being put in the cooler
I got this cooler for my birthday. I used Yeti ice and real ice and loaded a 12 pack of bottled beer. (small complaint, if you use Yeti Ice the bottles need to lay flat so you can only fit 12. I drank a few beers each day and after 96 hours there was still solid ice. I can't imagine anyone needing more than 4 days for a cooler with a smaller capacity.
Just bought the cooler for our road trip it’s been 9 hours since we loaded it with ice and it’s still there and our drinks are freezing !! Worth the money !! We still have Another 12 Hours to go I think it will hold up !
I recieved my roadie just in time!!!!! Best purchase I've ever made! Just went through the flood and packed my yeti the day I left my home. Kept mine and my dogs water ice cold for days! Thanks yeti for making a great product and speedy shipping!
I bought this about a month ago and I’ve used it two weekends and this is perfect for your one day or two day adventures, my ice was always intact and barley even melted. I see a lot of paddle boarding, canoeing and boating days ahead! Extremely dependable, always cold drinks and I can always count on the durability.
like i said very nice product i got my about a mouth ago and i use it every weekend put my drinks in it and a bag of ice on friday night and i dont have to worry about till sunday I realy like it just wish they had the reff blue when I order mind awhile ago
I just purchased this cooler and I had the chance to use it for the first time. One thing I did notice was that I had a leak from the drain plug. I solved this problem by taking the plug out and wrapping the threads with plumbers tape and hand tightening it back into the cooler. I think when these coolers come from the factory the plugs are not tighten all the way in this causing them to leak. This is a minor problem for an outstanding cooler.
Sturdy and chilly. I love the feet in addition as this girl won't move once you set her in place. The cooler reeks of high quality. The only reason I registered it was to get the gift; there's no way this rig will ever break!
This cooler has far exceeded my expectations. It's taken quite the beating, and has withstood. Very happy with this purchase. Yeti's staff is also top notch. They've always given me great personal service.
I bought the Roadie 20 and the recommended Yeti ice to go with it for my son’s 21st birthday. I put an ice cream cake and 4 room temp. Craft beers in it. Three hours later, the cake was frozen and the beers were so cold. He loved it!
The cooler is great, small and packs a punch. Can fit 18 cans of Lone Star with about 8lbs of ice, give or take. Looks great also. Feels good walking into the BBQ with this bad boy full of beer. Chicks dig the YETI fellas.
The Roadie was a very "cool" retirement gift signed by my co-workers making it unique and not so returnable. This weekend was the first test with ice, and with a tightened and then re-tightened drain plug it leaked onto a softwood floor. No floor damage, but used a bucket to contain the drips that continued after a third tightening. Ice retention was good and looks great, but definitely heavy and the leak was a downer.
We bought this for my husband who is a tractor trailer driver and loved this cooler. It exceede all expectations. The middle of August his rig burned to the ground. In salvaging what he could there was the Yeti. Somewhat worse for the accident. He brought it home and curiosity got the best of us. Despite the severely burned cooler, we put ice in it and low and behold it lasted 3 days. Imagine 3 days in the condition it is in. Amazing! The 1st thing we replaced from the fire was the beloved Yeti! WHAT A COOLER!!!
Have a Tundra50 already, which is my party barge, custom fitted w/ 2 drink holders, a bottle opener and a seadeck for cushion - as I use this is a roving camping chair. This little Roadie is a perfect addition for when I don't need "everything" and just need a 6-pack, drinks/juice/milk for my kids, or some food for a party.
When I tailgate they'll both obviously make an appearance, but this one's just right for most occasions!
This cooler works great if you use it the way you should. Opening rarely and keeping in a cold area. I use this as an ice chest on long road trips and only open it to refill my hopper. I had two yet I blocks and two bags of ice stay frozen for six days, only opening it about four or five times. Don't open it multiple times a day. Didn't even get any melted ice til day 4. Great product when used correctly.
Love these coolers! Own several YETI hard coolers and soft coolers. This Roadie 20 is perfect for my everyday use! Never leaves my truck between work and play! Does it’s job day after day! I put 2 ice packs In every 3-4 days and it holds ice incredibly well! Even living in the Arizona desert! Charcoal color is on point! YETI FOR LIFE!!!
I purchased and returned 3 Roadie 20 charcoal coolers. The first had a lid hinge drilled so badly that the lock holes were not even close to lining up with the cooler closed. The replacement's lid was also mis-drilled, but at least it looked decent while closed. Unfortunately it had a lump ("delam" bottom and poorly-molded interior corners. The replacement for that one, which was pre-inspected, was even worse than the one it replaced. The lid on it squeaks like crazy and the drain is so poorly molded that it leaks.
Got the yeti 20 cause it would fit in my softball wagon. I can fill it will drinks and ten pounds of ice and in less than 24 hours all the ice is melted. Neibor says the same thing about his. As a test I put 20 pounds of ice in it in my house in less than 2 days the ice was gone and only opened it to check ice. Very disappointed to say the least
I have a Yeti Tundra 65 that stays on my boat, is always in the sun and it keeps ice for a very, very long time. Its a great cooler. It is what Yeti says they are.
I have a Roadie 20 and hate it. Walmart quality at best. It leaks. The handle pops out of cooler on occasion. It does not keep ice even when inside the house. It weighs a ton, so don't plan on carrying it anywhere.
The Roadie 20 is NOT what Yeti say they; or the cooler are. I'm thinking of planting some flowers in it. It just might make a cool planter.
I am really happy with my Roadie cooler! I take it everywhere and my beers stay cold all day no problem. Some say this is the last cooler you'll ever buy, but I ended up buying a 35qt Coral, a 45qt High Country, a 105qt High Country and just today I received my 65qt Wetlands... This is definitely the last brand of cooler I'll ever buy.
I have had this cooler now for a couple months now & it has immediately become the fifth family member. It's perfect for both throwing into the back of the wives SUV, or the back of the Truck. Ice keeps longer and is great for keeping snacks for the team cold or beverages for the Adults. This gem is a must have.
We purchased this cooler because of the great reviews. The cooler DOES NOT hold ice any longer than a cheap cooler. In fact the old styrofoam coolers do a better job of holding the ice. We are so disappointed.
Great little cooler for a weekend worth of food. Do not expect to use this as a beer cooler if you want ice for more than a day. Opening it more than three or four times a day will make it as useful as a cardboard box. Also, use yeti ice. I put of 4lb block at the bottom and it makes the ice last almost twice as long.
I’ve got 4 kids, so this time of year means my weekends are spent outside at my kids sporting events. The Roadie keeps our drinks cold all day in the hot Georgia sun and doubles as a seat for me when I get the rare chance to sit down.
I just got back from a drunken weekend with a group of buds in Port A. We took a Yeti 20, yeti 35 and an Rtic 20. My Yeti 20 was the coooler used for constant beer and held ice all weekend with constant opening. The 35 had ice on Sunday as well but the rtic 20 that was hardly touched had almost warm water by Sunday. I just ordered the Yeti 65 for hunting season and can’t wait to use it.
Have a tan 35 but new semi truck has a passenger seat so it wouldn’t fit. Bought the 20 and it fits between the seats easy to lift It will also hold a 12 pack of Soda with 16 pounds of ice. Even have the cable lock and it long enough to lock the lid closed as well as lock it in place between the seats so I don’t have to take it out of the truck on days off
