Have a Tundra50 already, which is my party barge, custom fitted w/ 2 drink holders, a bottle opener and a seadeck for cushion - as I use this is a roving camping chair. This little Roadie is a perfect addition for when I don't need "everything" and just need a 6-pack, drinks/juice/milk for my kids, or some food for a party.
When I tailgate they'll both obviously make an appearance, but this one's just right for most occasions!
This cooler works great if you use it the way you should. Opening rarely and keeping in a cold area. I use this as an ice chest on long road trips and only open it to refill my hopper. I had two yet I blocks and two bags of ice stay frozen for six days, only opening it about four or five times. Don't open it multiple times a day. Didn't even get any melted ice til day 4. Great product when used correctly.
Love these coolers! Own several YETI hard coolers and soft coolers. This Roadie 20 is perfect for my everyday use! Never leaves my truck between work and play! Does it’s job day after day! I put 2 ice packs In every 3-4 days and it holds ice incredibly well! Even living in the Arizona desert! Charcoal color is on point! YETI FOR LIFE!!!
I purchased and returned 3 Roadie 20 charcoal coolers. The first had a lid hinge drilled so badly that the lock holes were not even close to lining up with the cooler closed. The replacement's lid was also mis-drilled, but at least it looked decent while closed. Unfortunately it had a lump ("delam" bottom and poorly-molded interior corners. The replacement for that one, which was pre-inspected, was even worse than the one it replaced. The lid on it squeaks like crazy and the drain is so poorly molded that it leaks.
Got the yeti 20 cause it would fit in my softball wagon. I can fill it will drinks and ten pounds of ice and in less than 24 hours all the ice is melted. Neibor says the same thing about his. As a test I put 20 pounds of ice in it in my house in less than 2 days the ice was gone and only opened it to check ice. Very disappointed to say the least
I have a Yeti Tundra 65 that stays on my boat, is always in the sun and it keeps ice for a very, very long time. Its a great cooler. It is what Yeti says they are.
I have a Roadie 20 and hate it. Walmart quality at best. It leaks. The handle pops out of cooler on occasion. It does not keep ice even when inside the house. It weighs a ton, so don't plan on carrying it anywhere.
The Roadie 20 is NOT what Yeti say they; or the cooler are. I'm thinking of planting some flowers in it. It just might make a cool planter.
I am really happy with my Roadie cooler! I take it everywhere and my beers stay cold all day no problem. Some say this is the last cooler you'll ever buy, but I ended up buying a 35qt Coral, a 45qt High Country, a 105qt High Country and just today I received my 65qt Wetlands... This is definitely the last brand of cooler I'll ever buy.
I have had this cooler now for a couple months now & it has immediately become the fifth family member. It's perfect for both throwing into the back of the wives SUV, or the back of the Truck. Ice keeps longer and is great for keeping snacks for the team cold or beverages for the Adults. This gem is a must have.
We purchased this cooler because of the great reviews. The cooler DOES NOT hold ice any longer than a cheap cooler. In fact the old styrofoam coolers do a better job of holding the ice. We are so disappointed.
Great little cooler for a weekend worth of food. Do not expect to use this as a beer cooler if you want ice for more than a day. Opening it more than three or four times a day will make it as useful as a cardboard box. Also, use yeti ice. I put of 4lb block at the bottom and it makes the ice last almost twice as long.
I’ve got 4 kids, so this time of year means my weekends are spent outside at my kids sporting events. The Roadie keeps our drinks cold all day in the hot Georgia sun and doubles as a seat for me when I get the rare chance to sit down.
I just got back from a drunken weekend with a group of buds in Port A. We took a Yeti 20, yeti 35 and an Rtic 20. My Yeti 20 was the coooler used for constant beer and held ice all weekend with constant opening. The 35 had ice on Sunday as well but the rtic 20 that was hardly touched had almost warm water by Sunday. I just ordered the Yeti 65 for hunting season and can’t wait to use it.
Have a tan 35 but new semi truck has a passenger seat so it wouldn’t fit. Bought the 20 and it fits between the seats easy to lift It will also hold a 12 pack of Soda with 16 pounds of ice. Even have the cable lock and it long enough to lock the lid closed as well as lock it in place between the seats so I don’t have to take it out of the truck on days off
Been contemplating getting a Yeti for some time and finally took the plunge. ordered the Roadie to keep in my truck thinking i didn't have to fill up ice everyday. Cooler arrived couple days ago and I was so excited. At about 5pm loaded it with 6 waters 7 beers 4 cans of juice and 3 small sports drinks, all pre-chilled in the Refridge. Filled it up with ice 2-3 inches from the top. Drank 4 beers over the next 2 hours and went to sleep. Cooler stayed in my living room the whole time and with the exception of opening the straps were always on. At 11am the next day opened it up to grab a water and almost all the ice was melted. Loaded more ice up to the top, checked it at 9pm- no ice....
Thank you for bringing out a really cool color!!! My son so wanted the white one but his fiancée is so happy with the coral. Would LOVE to win the white for peace in the family!! Ha! But seriously, love the yeti cooler & ramblers!!!!
I’ve used a plethora of different coolers and I gotta say, the roadie is my favorite by far. I went with the roadie instead of the 35 tundra for one reason alone. I can carry it with one hand if I need to. You’re gonna have to grit your teeth if your walking a large distance when you fill it to the brim, but you can do it if you need to. And it will hold enough liquid gold for your day out and then some. If your on the fence about Yeti, get the roadie and give it a shot. I wasn’t disappointed.
I bought the charcoal Roadie cooler as a gift for my son. He loved the color and it's the perfect size to accompany him on all his adventures. The ice lasts for days and the cooler is as tough as it looks!
This small cooler has a huge impact! My husband and friends fill up our big YETI full of ice and beer before boarding the pontoon. I drink rum & diet Pepsi. I was tired of my few pop cans getting buried in the bottom of the cooler, so I bought the Roadie. This is a cooler I can carry on my own AND fill it up with items just for me. YAY for BYOB! LOL!
Shipping was quick and packed well, I love this cooler!!! I take it to work with me every day. It keeps my drinks cold, the ice lasts for a few days and the rubber grip keeps the cooler from sliding in my work van.
My wife and I spent 8 days on Siesta Key Beach in Florida. Our annual July vacation. I used only 20 pounds of ice the whole trip. My old cooler I would use that up in a day. YETI you can't put a price on keeping your beverage cold!
Did it keep it’s promise? Heck yea it did. It also kept all my beers cold! This cooler work ups keep a snowman cold. Great cooler as always. Higher priced than other coolers but there is a reason I have three Yeti coolers and keep coming back. Worth every penny.
Was a little leery about spending this much on a cooler, but I am glad I did. Very impressed with the ability to keep items cold. Used it when we went boating. Had fruit, water and cheese. Items stayed cold all day. Used it at a 3 day car show. Filled and replaced ice each day, kept items cold in mid 90's heat with high humidity. The ice melted some, but unlike my other coolers where the water would get warm, it stayed cold which kept the contents cool. When I got home from the event, I left the ice / cold water in it just to see how long it would stay cold. 3 days later it was still cold. I won't hesitate to purchase another one when needed. Quality product that delivers on it promise!
Purchased the Roadie 20 for a 7 day trip in the backcountry, living out of my 80series Land Cruiser. Previous coolers have been unable to keep my food cool for the duration, however, after following YETI's directions, (yes,i read the instructions, the burgers and veggies were cool and crisp for the duration of the trip. Also works well as a seat, stool, or cutting board. (although not endorsed by YETI)
This is our first YETI cooler. We have other similar coolers, but this one is the perfect size for trips to the grocery store and beach. The handle is great and quality is superb! Should last a lifetime - will probably become an heirloom.
I purchased this for an upcoming birthday..We have a yeti cooler,it is so well made,so durable, and it does keep whatever COLD!! I have purchased numerous cups, either keeps the coffee hot, which I have never had an insulated cup do this, also it keeps ice in the water all night...I can not say enough good about yeti, totally sold on this product...I have Christmas gifts in mind for 6 of the grandkids, and with their name added to a rambler, how great is that, personalized just for them, how fantastic...Yeti is worth the price,I highly recommend any of these products.....Thank you Yeti,we are loving what we have, ramblers, coffee mug,and cooler....
I have a Tundra 75 and love it but wanted something smaller and more convenient. I bought the roadie about a month ago and used it for a road trip. It fits easily in my front seat. I also have the 4lb Yeti Ice and it fits perfectly in the Roadie 20 Cooler! Highly recommend!
We bought our ice chest just before a long road trip. We selected the 2 day delivery and it arrived on time. We love the weight of it as it felt sturdy. On our road trip we only have to replenish the ice every other day. We kept drink, cheeses, and lunch meats all week. Collectively we decided to donate every othe ice chest we own and use our Yeti exclusively. I am certain that this ice chest will see thousands of miles with me and my family.
