Product Description

One speed is all you need - a simple set-up gives kids confidence and helps them stay in control.  Coaster brakes are simple and intuitive for kids to use - they just pedal backwards to stop!  You can replace the saddle's integrated handle with an integrated light mount to boost visibility on family adventures and solo excursions.  Like all Precaliber bikes, the frame is lower so it's easier for kids to stand over and hop on and off.  You shouldn't buy your kid's bike where you buy your cereal - Unlike big box brands, Trek kids' bikes are assembled by people who know bikes.

She learned to ride in 28 min!
I first bought my daughter one of those princess bikes from a big box store. It had training wheels and she never learned to ride it because it was just cheaply made. Bad decision.

I decided it was time to teach her how to ride for real, so I called over to Helens (our local bike shop) and they recommended this bike.

We began by removing the pedals, so she could use it as a balance bike. 20 minutes later she said she wanted to try with the pedals on, and I kid you not, first try she started riding. Like magic! I really credit the bike more than my teaching skills, as it is low to the ground with big fat tires. She loves it, and we couldn't be happier!

We love the bike for my 6 year old. It is the perfect size and gave her the confidence she needed to ride long distances.
