Bought this for my soon-to-be kindergartner and LOVE the design! We got the more neutral, cream/black with orange accents woodlands theme and it's perfect for a boy. There are a sufficient amount of pockets for a child his age, though we will probably have to look into getting him a bigger backpack as he gets older and moves into 2nd or 3rd grade. It's got It is a tad smaller than I expected, however, so deducted a star for that. We also bought a standard sized Five Star binder with pockets and it didn't fit into this backpack.
Nice backpack and sturdy, but small (even for a child's backpack). Bought one for both of my kids. I didn't expect the bag to be too small for my eight year old. Okay for my smaller six year old, but I will have to return the backpack for my older child.
