My Rossi is a very competent long gun but the Remington ammo (first 100 rounds anyway) failed to ignite six times; most troubling. As a baseline, I brought along my \"go to\" 22lr ammo (Aguila Super Extra of a similar bullet weight) and ran about 100 rounds of it through the lever gun with zero malfunctions (and a sweeter snap to the round I might add). I will try the remaining 900 rounds of the Rem I purchased through a few pistol plinkers I have to see if it performs better in a semi auto or wheel gun platform, but so far I'm not impressed.
