I think I was one of the first. It’s my truck gun. So fun so accurate. So deadly. O to 200 yards so accurate. So flat. I’m so glad I went with the A17 over 22 mag Rifle. I will always enjoy the old 10- 22 . The 17 is just better for coyotes and no hide damage. More accurate. Do not recommend.","text":"I purchased this rifle about two years ago, and in January, a shell would not cycle, and when the next bullet loaded, it became jammed. We were able to dig out the two shells, but unfortunately scratched the barrel in the process. Although we could dry cycle bullets that would eject, when fired, the shell would not eject. I returned the gun to Scheels, and they suggested that I send it on my own to Savage. However, after I protested, they sent it in for me. After waiting for two and a half months, Scheels contacted me to tell me that it would cost approximately $200 to replace the damaged barrel. They provided me with contact information for Savage, and when I called to explain how the barrel was damaged, they explained that I had voided the warranty since I had removed the jammed shell myself. I reluctantly paid the $200 via credit card, but unfortunately, Savage cannot send an email receipt, nor can they provide an estimate of the replacement time or estimated shipping time back to Scheels. While Savage is a reasonably priced option, I have found that you get what you pay for.
