They are comfortable and I really like them, but they have one catastrophic flaw. Except for the top row, there are no metal eyelets for the shoes strings to go through. The other shoe string holes are just the fabric material. What is happening is that the strings are tearing through the material (see pic). So far I have 1 tear through per shoe, but judging from the other shoe string holes, I am not far from tearing through more. The Toe Box is tiny for a supposed wide shoe. To me they really barely are wide to begin with but man we got cheap on the toe space. Overall a nice looking shoe and would fit many job applications with a professional look but the drawbacks killing me. Overall for the cost there has got to be better. They said they're anti fatigue but the longer I've worn them they just keep feeling uncomfortable and my feet are hurting at the end of the day. I've worn work boots and work shoes for years and these are probably the worst. I don't think I'll buy another pair from here especially for the price they're selling. The toe box feels like I'm a ballerina with how much my big toe is pushed against the rest of my toes. Also, the insoles are like PAPER. Im ashamed to say these don’t hold anything against my old timberland pros when I’ve heard so much about redwing’s reputation. I am typically on my feet 8-10hrs per day and abuse my footwear by kicking things and just the nature of the environments I work. I wore these for just over a year before retiring them (I typically go through a pair of boots once per year or so). I had to replace the insoles once but that wasn't such a big deal considering how often I'm on my feet. They didn't last as long as my heavier work boots, but they are far more comfortable. I think the trade-off is worth it. The lady said they had these in my size, so I tried them. Felt amazing right out of the box. I wear them 10-12 hours a day walking and testing fire alarms. I usually wear inserts out after 2-3 months. I can’t even begin to explain how these shoes saved me while deployed working hurricane relief work after Ida. Two days into a 36 day deployment I was going to have to quit unless I could get some relief. Thank the good Lord above I found a Redwing store and they had these as an option. As soon as I was fitted and I put them on, my discomfort level changed and my prayers were answered. Unfortunately they ripped on day 36 and I’ll have to purchase a new pair, but I won’t hesitate to get a new pair or recommend them because those shoes allowed me to work 16 to 20 hours a day for 36 days straight without extreme gout pain. Laces slowly come undone towards the end of a work day, no matter how tightly its done up. The shoes are definitely not made for walking on the slightest of oil/coolant spills, they feel pretty slippery.
