When the temps drop below 40°F, the stratus jacket is my go to. With proper layering, this jacket is bullet proof. The way this jacket handles the wind is simply amazing. The hood is great to have on those less than ideal condition days. I have worn this jacket in the mid 20's with gusting winds and stayed very comfortable. Definitely recommend this jacket and believe it should be apart of everyones hunting gear.

I like this Stratus Jacket and Bibs very well. Haven't had a chance to try in in the rain and colder weather but so far is is great in the wind, comfortable and all I expected. Very well made, good zippers, etc. It does pick up burrs but I knew that would be a trade off for the fleece. Gives me something to do to pass the time in the tree stand.

Used this hunting whitetail during the rut in Wisconsin. Layered merino wool underneath and could not believe how well it blocked the wind. It was super comfy…. Love it!

I prefer the most versatile options in my laying system and this jacket is perfect for that. I've worn these paired with the Core Lightweight Hoody in the 50s and the Core Lightweight Hoody, Fanatic Hoody, and Stratus Jacket in the 30's. If going any colder I go Fanatic Hoody, Celsius Midi and Stratus Jacket for 20's. When paired with the Stratus Bibs, you get more core heat and less chance of wind up the back. I wear a size XL and all my components are the same size. Definitely not bulky nor too tight. I am primarily a compound bow hunter and the system is great. The added safety of the harness pass through is nice for those late day sits where you want to add a layer when you are up in your stand. If you are primarily a 20/30°F stand hunter you might want to look at the Fanatic Jacket for the benefit of the pockets on the front to keep your hands warm, otherwise the above setup will serve you well.

Sitka Stratus
I had a Fanatic jacket but needed something for warmer weather. The Stratas jacket fits like a bowhunting jacket should and performs well. It repeals rain, fits tight to your arms to stop deflection and the camo pattern works great in a tree stand.

I was just on a 3.5 mile fourwheeler ride. I just put this jacket on because it is light and warm. It is currently 46 degrees here in Wisconsin and I was cruising around 50 on my fourwheeler. I couldn’t even tell that the wind was hitting me. All I had on was a Sitka t-shirt and the Stratus Jacket and I was SUPER warm. I am 5’10” and 165lbs. I got a large and it fits me very well. It looks good with only a t-shirt on but still fits great with a mid layer puffy coat. I could not say anything bad about this jacket and it is worth the money.

I love this jacket. Sizing is perfect. Was warmer than I expected which is great. Looking forward to combining this with a Fanatic Hoody or a Celsius Midi.

I just received this and I am initially very impressed with the quality of the materials and fitment. I will put more up there when I get back from Colorado on my elk trip and whitetail.

Fit 5'10' 200 lbs - Average build - Chest measure 46" I went with an XL and that was the correct size and allows for a long sleeve base and maybe another lighter one.

The Status jacket is the most versatile article of Sitka gear that I have. On cool breezy days, the jacket is perfect with a Lightweight Hoody. When temperature drops, I pair it with a Celsius Midi, Fanatic Hoody, and a base layer and I am good to go even down to the low 20's. The hood is clutch on cold and windy days. Wind protection is excellent. Plenty of room for layering, but to baggy at all. I am 5'9", 180 pounds and the Large size is perfect.
