I received a Scheels gift certificate for Xmas. I was interested in Sitka whitetail bow hunting clothing. I was looking for clothing that would be good in temps down to the teens with some layering. Talking with an individual who has the Stratus jacket and pants stated with sweatshirt it is good to 20’s and extra layer to teens. So I was sold. Well in order to be warm in 20’s I had to he’s a down puffy with Marino wool base. The jacket could use some venting and larger wind flap behind zipper because it has issues folding back away from zipper. I do not think the windstorm is 100% effective because it seems to let some air pass into the jacket. This Sika Stratus system replaced my Scheels similar jacket and pants and I will argue that Sitka is not too much better at double the price. This clearance price saved me $100’s! \n\nThe specialist working there, helped me find this piece after looking at a more expensive, latest addition. \n\nJake already knew this one was in stock and in the size I needed, after a quick chat about my terrain, game, climate, and styles of hunt. \n\nI prefer the 2 zip chest pockets, with ample room, over the Stratus 2.0. The 2.0 version has two open pockets for maybe a rangefinder and a grunt call. \n\nDedicated pockets are usually designed to work with one or two items in one or two specific ways. And you’re locked in. \n\nThis version of the strands jacket allows more versatility.
