In my opinion. \nOriginally I bought the P365xmacro Tacops because it was cheaper than the other models, it came with twice as many magazines, has an extended slide stop, and a flared mag well. Good options and a great pistol. Plus I was of the mindset that the longer barrel was better than an unproven slide/comp design. \nThen I got the P365x for all day carry regardless of the permissiveness of my environment (work)…\nThen I got the P365 Fuse because. I literally didn’t think that one through. I just saw the cool slide and 21 round magazines and I had to get it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful gun. Just not my EDC. \nFast forward a bit and it is now obvious to anyone who is being honest that the xmacro comp does in fact offer a bit of recoil management that is not present in the other models. Sig offered for a bit, a gun called the P365xl spectre, then capitalized on the comp to make the P365xl spectre comp. Which is a beautiful gem. However, Sig chose to make them out of unobtainium, so finding one is next to impossible and expensive. And building one custom on the Sig website is $1,200-$1,300. Ouch. \nI have literally been playing this scenario over in my mind of just buying the P365xmacro comp, and then swapping the grip module to make it a “P365xl comp”. Then I checked the Scheels website and the earth had literally stopped spinning…\nScheels had Sig on sale for 10% off. \nBingo. \nCalled them immediately and asked nicely for them to locate a new in box P365xmacro comp with NO SAFETY in the back room for me and now I have it. It’s wearing the grip module from my P365x until the Wilson Combat grip module arrives. Then I can give the 365x it’s clothes back…\nThe xmacro comp is great as is. Also one that i didnt have to sell my kidney for. So i ran upon this at my LGS and was excited to see a small compact gun with a built in comp. It looked great. The grip wasnt to small where my would pinky would fall off the bottom and it held 17 + 1. So right off the bat i was interested. However, the big question was how does it shoot and will it be reliable. Well after about a 1k rounds i have yet to have a malfunction of any kind. With using both irons and red dot i can pretty much hit whatever i need to. The accuracy and reliability is awesome for something so small and compact. Recoil is there but very manageable, muzzle flip also there but the expansion chamber really does its job quite nicely. The trigger is nothing special, but it definitely works and is great for a edc. The fact it holds 17+1 for such a small package is great. If i cant hit something in 18 tries i might as well just throw it. The finish is great, but it does seem to wear a bit a long the rear of the slide. Where it makes contact with the body. Plus ive noticed a little bit of rust on the mag and by the rear sites. However i cleaned off and hasn't come back. Other then that, i feel its a great piece and truely feel safe with it on because my life and my families life is worth it.. It never leaves my side, particularly since we live remote in the rural woods with 2 & 4 legged trespassers. Lastnight a large Possum fancied making dinner of our chickens we need for eggs. He was neutralized at 10+ yrds while running and climbing with 3 rounds of Hornady Critical defense 135grain hp. All 3 rounds expanded and left his internal organs hanging externally. Unlike my target practice sessions, shots were extremely smooth- NO recoil felt, stayed on target- a real pleasure to shoot, especially for a cripple. A real confidence boost for a life or death event if ever needed.
