Cedar Falls SCHEELS originally opened its doors in 1977 in the Blackhawk Mall. In 1999, SCHEELS relocated to a 48,000-square-foot store the College Square Mall in Cedar Falls. 10 miles away, Waterloo SCHEELS was operating in a 16,000-square-foot location at Crossroads Center Mall. In 2013, the two stores closed their doors and combined in a new, 100,000-square-foot location at Viking Plaza in Cedar Falls.
