I was impressed with the weight and the action, and the Tikka reputation. I mounted a Leupold 5HD scope on it and went hunting. Incredibly accurate, and with a changeout on the recoil pad (the original sucks), there is very little felt recoil. It does have a muzzle break, which helps. 2 years later I have taken 2 elk and 2 mule deer on public land hunts. Distances from 250-450 yards. It's a tack driver.
