SCHEELS Community Guidelines

Effective Date: May 5th, 2026

Welcome to the SCHEELS Community. These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) apply to all interactive features available through scheels.com and related digital platforms, including product reviews, comments, forums, photos, videos and other user-generated content areas (collectively, the “Community”).

By participating in the Community, you agree to be bound by these Guidelines and the SCHEELS Terms of Use.

The Community is intended for individuals who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction. By using the Community, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. The Community is not directed to children under 13.

Our goal is to create a respectful, welcoming environment that reflects the values of the SCHEELS brand and supports helpful conversations about products, activities and experiences.

1. Community Registration. To participate in the Community, you must create an account and screen name. You represent that you are legally competent to enter into contracts and that any information provided by you is accurate and complete. SCHEELS may rely on the information you provide and disclaims liability arising from inaccurate or misleading information submitted by you. Your screen name must be appropriate and may not impersonate any other person, entity or SCHEELS employee. SCHEELS may reject, suspend or terminate any account or screen name at its discretion. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Community Expectations. We encourage open discussion and diverse perspectives. Participation should remain respectful, constructive and relevant to the topic being discussed. Honest feedback, including criticism, is welcome when shared in good faith, but personal attacks, hostility or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. You are expected to interact with other users respectfully, as you would in any public or professional arena.

3. Prohibited Content and Conduct. To maintain a safe and positive Community, content that is unlawful, deceptive or promotes illegal activity is prohibited. You may not post content that encourages, promotes or facilitates violations of applicable laws or unsafe use or modification of products, including instructions or advice that may result in injury or death. Content that threatens, harasses, intimidates, or targets individuals or groups for abuse is prohibited. This includes bullying, stalking or encouraging harm to others. We do not allow content that attacks or demeans individuals or groups based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. Sexually explicit material, pornography, graphic violence, obscene content or other content intended to harass or degrade others is not permitted.

For privacy and safety reasons, you should not post personal or confidential information about yourself or others, including contact information, addresses, financial information or identifying details. Content that infringes intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks or rights of publicity, is prohibited. By submitting content, you represent that you have the necessary rights to share it.

The Community may not be used for commercial solicitation, advertising, promotional campaigns, affiliate marketing or other business activities unrelated to genuine customer discussion. Spam, repetitive posting or attempts to manipulate reviews or discussions are also prohibited. You may not attempt to interfere with the operation of the Community or Site, including through automated posting tools, scraping, data harvesting, unauthorized access attempts or other technical misuse.

4. Reviews & Product Feedback. Product reviews and feedback should reflect your honest opinions and experiences. Reviews should be based on actual use or purchase and should remain relevant to the product being reviewed. Although not required to monitor or otherwise oversee reviews, we may remove reviews that appear fraudulent, misleading, incentivized without appropriate disclosure, irrelevant, unrelated to the product, submitted in bulk or generated through automated means.

5. Moderation & Enforcement. SCHEELS reserves the right, but does not have an obligation, to monitor Community activity or content. To maintain Community standards, comply with legal requirements or protect the safety, rights or interests of SCHEELS, its customers or others, SCHEELS may remove or edit content, restrict posting privileges, disable features, suspend or terminate accounts, or take any other action it determines appropriate in its sole discretion. Such actions may occur without prior notice. SCHEELS reserves the right to preserve or disclose content or account information if required to do so by law or if reasonably necessary to protect the safety, rights or property of SCHEELS, its users or the public.

SCHEELS may designate Community Moderators who are authorized to moderate Community activity and enforce these Guidelines on behalf of SCHEELS. Moderation decisions are discretionary and may vary depending on the circumstances. Our decision not to take action in a particular instance does not waive our ability or right to take action in the future or in similar situations. SCHEELS or its Community Moderators may communicate with users regarding participation in the Community, including warnings or enforcement actions. Unless otherwise required by law, such communications are intended to be private between SCHEELS and the user and should not be publicly posted or shared.

6. Reporting Concerns. If you believe content violates these Guidelines or applicable law, you may report it using available reporting tools or by contacting customer service. SCHEELS may review and investigate reports but are not obligated to take any specific action.

7. Community is Not Customer Service. This Community is not monitored as a formal customer service channel. If you need assistance with orders, returns, warranties or other service matters, please contact SCHEELS Customer Service directly.

8. User Responsibility and Content. You are solely responsible for your use of the Community and the content you submit. You may submit reviews, comments, photos or other content (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant SCHEELS a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, publish, distribute and create derivative works from the User Content in connection with our business, marketing, promotional and educational activities without further notice or compensation to you. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise have the necessary rights to submit the User Content and that your content does not violate any law or infringe on the rights of any third-party. SCHEELS may, in its sole discretion, use, remove, modify or otherwise manage User Content, and is under no obligation to monitor, approve or take action with respect to any submissions. Your content reflects your views and experiences only and does not represent the views of SCHEELS. SCHEELS does not endorse user opinions, recommendations or statements made within the Community. Community content is provided for general informational purposes only and is not intended to constitute professional, technical, safety, medical or product use advice. You are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and usefulness of information shared by other users and for using products safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions, warnings and applicable laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability. Content in the Community is provided “as-is.” SCHEELS does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or completeness of content and is not responsible for user-posted content or third-party links. Use of the Community is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCHEELS disclaims all liability arising from Community content or use. Additional limitations and disclaimers are set forth in the SCHEELS Terms of Use.

10. Changes to These Guidelines. We may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. Updates are effective when posted. Your continued participation in the Community after updated Guidelines are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
