One of the lace holders is ripping a little but no biggie. The soles have no wear. They clip to ladders great with no slipping. The carbon toes is also great. Extra space to circulate some heat. Zero moisture gets through. Keen has the most reliable waterproofing. I’ve used a lot of their boots and I’m always dry. Living in Michigan it’s mostly wet, so having pairs of boots I can trust is one less thing to have to worry about when the weather goes from rain to snow or snow to rain in the same day. \n The biggest reason to get these boots is to get your legs back. Traditional construction boots destroy your ankle, hip, and back for durability of product. They don’t allow for functional movement. With these boots I can move faster and they allow me to bend down and move the way I’m supposed to. Walking, climbing, and carrying loads of gutter, adding up to minimum 5miles a day, used to equal nothing but stiffness and pain with these almost all of it is gone. Waking up and not walking like a painful penguin for the first 45 minutes of the day is spectacular. \n I would also recommend a pair of superfeet high impact to go along with the boots. \n I hope the boots stay around for a long time and continue to improve in way I couldn’t see coming. I walk and stand all day with the exception of breaks. Good support and materials. I like the cushioning around the ankles. These shoes had a lot to like but one big issue. The forefoot is extremely hard. The heel and midfoot cushioning was great, but as you continue the step through the forefoot you are hit with a very hard shoe that feels like no cushion. Compared to my peers, it seems like I am someone who prefers very little cushioning, almost barefoot shoe type. But this was like walking on slate. When I reached out to Keen, thinking this was a malfunction, they were unwilling to discuss my experience in detail and simply offered a warranty replacement. But since I live outside of the lower 48, the warranty would not send me a new pair and my only option was to send it back on my dollar. This is was a change in the last 5 years and I feel that it is a horrible policy change.
